Just played Bring Your Own Book tonight, it was REALLY fun. Think "Cards Against Humanity", but where you've got 60 seconds to find the answer in a book. (Everyone picks out a book. Any book. One of our players tonight used a cookbook.) When you win two cards, you pass the books to the left, so everyone gets a new book.
LOTS of fun.

@ShelBeast a quality wiki includes the links with the NSFW warning
Links, hell, the actual images. Then complain when staff asks you to take them down that they're behind an NSFW link.
The only system between 7S1 and 7S2 worth keeping is the former, even though it is bogged down with several little details, yes. Not that these details render it entirely unable to code but they make automation very challenging. Combat should be simple enough to automate if you add swordsmanship techniques as modifiers instead of what they actually do, but do you really want to sift through 40-odd combat styles? Core game has about 5 or 6, then every supplement has 2-3 or 4-5, with the exception of Swordsman's Guild, which has more styles than you can count, some of which are recaps, of course.
I do love sorcery in the game and despite accusations it's OP, they actually open the way for creative uses by just making the stats on those represent your capacity to wield the power itself. El Fuego Adentro can wreck ships from the inside out, you can take all the treasure from a ship by using Porte, Avalon could let you evade Reis' murderboat crew, etc. Only Pyeryem, I think, is more or less useless. Even the supposedly extinct Eisen magical art is more useful.
@Apu Know this feeling all too well. All the hugs and empathetic wincing.
Some people just suck. Some don't. I just wish the ones really good at just pretending they aren't heartless, selfish jackasses would stop existing entirely.
LU is some of the best entertainment wrestling easily available in the US.
I personally prefer RoH but that is mainly based o nthe quality of in ring action, production value and storyline-wise LU is superior, even if you are not a wrestling person the storylines are quite fun.
I will definitely play with you on that server. Or try to, depending on time zone issues! There are some servers that are more serious with rp, or they have more rules anyway, but I just find it light, chaotic fun.
Finished Smarter Then You Think! I quite liked it, thank you for mentioning it. It put into words a lot of things I have thought about technology and communication.
I never used to read non-fiction before I started working in the library. Our website supports lists, and I am adding this to my Non-Boring Non-Fiction list. Gracias!
I'm only saying it's conceptual performance art. Appreciation is in the conceived concept by the artist. And for the artist and the art. I appreciate this as art.
If I'm looking for AI or machine driven with I'm more a fan of Roxy Paine's sculpture producing machines and works that take input from weather reports and the stock market to decide what to do next. Or Jean Tinguely and his self destructive machines.
Not Trying to lift the veil, just saying it's art. Great conceptual stuff, and kudos to the artist.

Is Elite Dangerous the one that's taking forever to make with people putting down thousands for huge high spec ships or is that another game?
I can't really remember.
That's Star Citizen. Elite Dangerous has been out for a few years and is a complete game. Once you buy it, you're golden. The only money after is for cosmetics, like nameplates for your ship, colored weapon beams or engine trails, flight suits, etc.

If you like getting paid and don't like web development, Embedded systems are booming right now, what with every new product needing to be on the IoT or controllable via a smartphone app.
Welcome to my life! Though we've definitely gotten to work on some cool stuff.
