      Uhh, I'm putting this here because it's relevant to my MU.

      Anyone know any good TCG prototyping tools? Google docs is really unwieldly for the massive amount of data I'm gonna be dealing with, there has to be a better alternative for writing up potentially hundreds upon hundreds of cards and decks than stuffing it all into a single document.

        Mac: BBEdit
        Windows: Notepad++
        Anywhere: Atom

        very late edit: I don't at all know what you're expecting, but you can open hundreds of files at once with these two. Atom even has a way to multi-file-edit fairly easily, and BBEdit's is a bit harder but still quite possible.

          Someone suggested something called Scrivner, but I'll check Atom out! (I actually have Notepad++)

            Scrivener is for people writing books and scripts, with good tools to do so. The "no-distraction" full screen mode is available in almost everything these days, including just hitting "full screen" button (better on the Mac, but eh).

              This is mostly the kind of thing that appeals to me about Scriver.

              This is mostly to organize my non-code card data in of itself, so that I can actually design and organize it all, and -then- code it.

                https://trello.com/ coooooould work? Certainly lets you create lots and lots of cards that you can then add entries under. Assuming you're not logging a lot of information (I doubt you would, as it has to fit on a trading card, right?) it might work.

                  Basically the tl;dr is, every character has a deck that represents the character. But I can actually see Trello being a super convenient resource for this, so I'm gonna explore it.
