Maybe you should do that, then.
Already did. >.> I had a publication picked out for once I got feedback and made... well, the edits I expected I'd have to make?
... but apparently there are none, so...... off it's gone.
If people wanna read it, I can message the dropbox link. >.>
I will happily read, if you want more eyes on it. Or even if not, just to read!

Dropbox link sent!
I would put it up on my portfolio site, but many publications will count that as 'published' and not consider your work. Which is why I sort of have to share it private-like.

@WTFE Giving the happy couple a primer on sexual positions on their wedding day is a very old tradition in China.

(Work safe. I think.)
I'm well aware of this:
(I should note that last one is a religious icon...)
The problem is my wife doesn't seem to respect old traditions.

...I want that last one.

I rest my case about the "NSFS" portion.

@WTFE I love that the page header on the last one is: My chop hand to buy the baby perennial pendant mammoth teeth pendant male piano your value, and the item title is I have to buy the baby you have to buy the baby piano baby pony pendant male and female card your values
It broke google translate's "brain", I think.

This is why I laugh out loud every time I read one of those breathless "THESE NEW TRANSLATION SOFTWARE THINGIES ARE AMAZING!" articles in the "tech" press.

Signed up to take some basic college classes starting in a few weeks. Nothing OMG awesome, but still something I've been meaning to do and put off for YEARS.

To balance out the moping about the state of my body...
The concert was amazing. I've waited ten years to see Cloud Cult. I discovered them almost 10 years ago. 2008, they popped up on a Pandora station. That was, sadly, the last time they toured in the southeast and I was between jobs (recovering from a shoulder surgery) so I couldn't go.
The first half was them playing the score, live, to their movie (while it played). I cried, twice (the first time blindsided me; I hadn't even listened to that particular track in months).
The second half was a mix of their songs being played. Some I barely knew, some I know by heart. And the entire crowd on their feet, singing along. I have never, ever seen a crowd at a show that invested in the music. I am so used to seeing a mix of people at concerts; fans those there because 'it's a concert.' The Neptune theater is kind of an intimate venue to begin with, but everyone there from the couple in their 70s to the 10-year-old there with his mother... were fans.
But having the entire place singing Everybody Here is a Cloud will stick as one of the finer memories in my life. You know it's good when the band is grinning their ears off, too.
I may be in a lot of pain today, but I can't think of a finer send off before my move to Austin than that concert.

I got called to go into work early 'if I wanted' -- I did not want, I did not do. I'm part-time and normally pick up hours to help out or come in or whatever. I never complain about my schedule being in constant flux. I just am thankful to have one.
So I come in and my manger greets me and says I can clock in a bit early if I want. So I do and she's walking with me to clock in and says, "Oh.. and in two weeks by the way.. we've decided to give you the full time position. So we'll get together to figure out your set schedule."
Woohoo.. I beat out a lot of part-time peeps (it's retail, they like to have peeps at part-time) and got the full-time position. They didn't interview me or make me jump through hoops. I just had to put down I was willing to work it. So in two weeks a SET work schedule, full time (aka benefits), and I start school.
So while this move came with some HORRIBLE low points before it; it's pretty awesome since I got here. Thus, I'm just having a good RL day today and want to share.

My greatest sadness over the band Great Big Sea breaking up a few years ago is that they won't tour any longer. GBS shows were the sort where everyone in the audience knew the songs, and the band expected you to sing along with them. And when they finished a show, they'd head over to Kell's on Post Alley and have drinks with the audience.
Those are the best sort of shows; I'm glad you were able to go!

I know a few people who have gone to GBS shows and they spoke very highly of them!

Had a fairly stressful day today. Nothing major, just the death by a thousand paper cuts sort of rough day.
@Coin unexpectedly sent me this on Skype earlier today.
I have no clue what's being sung, but it's given me a few little smiles today as I keep playing it periodically.
I think this means we're practically engaged. He didn't know I was having a rough day, he just sensed it. Plus it's League of Legends, which he knows I enjoy playing from time to time. I'd say things are getting pretty serious.

@Faceless -- Let me know what china pattern you two register for.
(Personally, I recommend something from Pfaltzgraff.)
