@Coin I mean. I KNEW MOST OF THOSE SECRETS BUT NOT THAT ONE.

HAHAHAHA.
Yeah, man. Yeah.
Devlin.
I mean, he knew it was wrong, okay? It was a secret he kept from his own family, and he was runnin' around sacrificin' people and shit with them because all the St. Johns were Silthite Cultists, lololololololol.
Wait.... kept from his own family? Since when do you think you were keeping any secrets from Crystal, Baby Brother? You're so cute.
Well, he didn't tell anyone. He kept it. Whether anyone respected his privacy, well.

Again, I fucking have told you this like three times, rofl. XD

She really was a nosy and bossy oldest sister, so she didn't respect anyone's privacy. And when a living brother showed up, there were reasons to thoroughly look into his past. She didn't care what that past was though. She collected secrets, she didn't tell them. (Well, she didn't tell family secrets - she told a few other people's.)
-
@Coin Clearly I keep blocking this horror out.
-
Other ideas I have still for future stories:
A sci-fi story best described as EVENT HORIZON meets AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS.
A modern day alien invasion story, a la WAR OF THE WORLDS.
A post apocalyptic, MAD MAX style grindhouse.
A coming-of-age horror tale, like IT and STRANGER THINGS.
Silver Screen Hollywood, where it's secretly run by a Cthulhu-ish cult.
A Western take on BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA, as it was initially envisioned.
A psych ward or old sanitarium where your Archetypes are more pronounced and you're not sure who you are.
And so on.

My body is ready.

@Botulism I have made my desire to play old asylum very vocal but I'd play any of those stories with gladness and glee.
The 20XXs War of the Worlds made me terrified of that..noise. The one all the movie trailers abused after. That one is kinda bone chilling to me.

I am rooting for JURASSIC PARK.

Just killed more PCs! Yay!

It's time for season 6! Ask questions and discuss!
In 2231, an anomaly in space was identified - an asteroid that is slowing down the closer it gets to KV-273, a black hole. Initially discovered on a deep space scan for precious Rare Earths, the asteroid was found to contain the largest concentration ever found anywhere in our galaxy. Scientists mapped its trajectory in preparation for an expedition and found it heading directly at KV-273 at staggering speed. Frustration set in as they wrestled with the physics of getting to it before it gets too close to the singularity, but then something truly impossible happened: it slowed down.
At its current rate of decline, it will come to a full stop before crossing the event horizon, something that simply should not be happening. They have dubbed this asteroid Icarus.
Having determined that Icarus is stable and has a strong gravity well, a series of probes were sent, followed by a manned mission in 2244. What initially started as a mining mission has become much bigger as the secrets behind Icarus' existence could rewrite physics as humanity knows it. That first manned mission ended in disaster as the small crew fell victim to some sort of mania. Penumbra Corp, the megacorp behind the Icarus Project, are convinced that they have isolated the cause of that madness and solved a number of other issues the first mission struggled with, and have launched a second mission.
You're set to enter the Icarus gravity well and awaken from stasis in 2249.
This story is best described as EVENT HORIZON, THE THING and AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS thrown in a blender. Claustrophobic, sanity-breaking horror awaits.

I'm angry at you guys for pitting my love of my absolute favorite horror genre against my willpower to remain retired from the hobby.
So this means I think your new idea is awesome.
-
I cannot even, with how psyched I am for this story. Maybe part of it is that it harkens back, in some respects, to Alien Mutation -- which was my first story at HorrorMU. Pleasant rush of nostalgia. But the concept itself, the IC connections and plans already made, and just the general awesomeness of the player base has me excited as anything.
Can't really blame you for being tempted, @Ghost. I would be, too.
-
I knew there would be days like this when I decided to quit mushing but hang around MSB.
I knew eventually some white whale game would pop up and I'd be like: "Well, heroin isn't THAT bad when you look at it from a certain perspective...."
I just didn't know it was gonna be so awesome an idea. Fuckin' Horror Mux, man. Well done.
-
I've never peeked into Horror MU* but I just want to say I always kind of delight in hearing about each of your new seasons. It's really cool to see something totally different from the typical styles continue to find fun and success. I HOPE EVERYONE KEEPS ENJOYING
-
@Ghost You've ALMOST unretired a few times now. XD
-
@Botulism Yes. Horror Mux is particularly dangerous to me.
-
@Ghost - Come to the dark and twisty and terrifying side. We have cookies.
-
@Scorn I have a gif that explains my situation, but I'm not sure that it's a good place to throw gifs all over.

When has that ever stopped you?
