The preview trailer for the Nintendo Switch is out. According to Slashdot it's a 'hybrid mobile and home console with a tablet element and detachable controllers.
The tablet itself (which Nintendo calls "the Switch Console" is thin and pretty attractive. It looks to have a screen measuring around 7 inches, of unspecified resolution. At home, it'll plug into the "Switch Dock," which in turn plugs into your TV. In the trailer, a gamer plugs in what looks to be an SD Card-style cartridge, meaning games are likely to be distributed both digitally and physically. It's powered by an unspecified custom Nvidia Tegra processor.'

Also it looks like you will be able to play with friends on the mobile; prop it up and each person uses one half of the controller. And there are a ton of third party partners signed up, rather than just first party. Also Skyrim. No idea if it's the updated port coming out soon or not though.

Anyway RDR2 will only get GOTY if it works better than RDR and Undead Nightmare did. I like Rockstar, and sure it looks pretty but past game launches and continued issues mean I won't be pre-ordering it. It could be my spending 3 hours yesterday trying to get them working again, so maybe I'm bitter, but given all the complaints I read through trying to fix the issue and all the other games coming out in 2017 I would say it's WAAAY early to be calling GOTY just yet.
I just want to shoot Western Zombies for Halloween, is that too much to ask?

I really really loved RDR, but I honestly am not sure if I will get a PS4 just for it. How much does a PS4 even go for these days? I've not touched a console since GTA came out.

Honestly? If you aren't going for VR, or a limited 4k resolution. Pretty cheap right now if you get a version that's out right now. Especially if you are getting it for RDR because by then the 4k one will be out so the price for a "normal" PS4 shouldn't be that high. (I think it's something like $375 CAD right now, with a bundle.)

Get the PS4 for The Witcher III, Fallout 4, the Uncharted Quadrilogy, and all sorts of other awesomeness.

@Auspice Right? Normally I stream fantasy on Tuesdays, but with Extra Life coming up I wonder if I should wait. This laptop can stream and record in 4k, but I'm not going to because I doubt my viewers have the ability to watch it in 4k. But Tuesday is Tuesday and Extra Life is November 5th and that's too long. (It's available to play in 1 day 10 hours from this post, so you should get some play in, maybe?)
Guess I'll have to suffers and start another stream. Oh well. Life is hard.

Some are already on Xbox, but yeah I'd assume you'd have to watch for mods where you get them. Bethesda games are always weird for me because usually I like to play a game mod-free first and then play again with mods. But... well, if you've played a Bethesda game... well, you know.
