Necro because like one random ad for Eternals made me go 'ooh, sparkly weapon that kills big monster' and now I am in an Exalted mood again. Why does my brain do this?
I've always liked the idea of Exalted a lot more then how it feels in actual play and for MU* especially the 'grandness' of many of the rules create tons of headaches.
I think the best way to run an Exalted MU* may just be to take the theme of Exalted but implement entirely custom rules designed for MU*.
What is obvious to you may not be obvious to me and vice versa.

I heartily recommend trying to take games whose setup or fiction you like and fitting it to a set of rules you prefer. You'll probably have people point out that X was im/possible under the old rules and now it's the opposite, but I've never seen any setting REALLY be shaped or accurately fitted to the rules of the game associated with it. (Except Dragonlance, where they kept Vancian casting).
