Ew.
Do not like.
ESETA:
MOD VOICE: I forked this topic because it shouldn't have been in Announcements. That's my bad! I started it off and I ought-not. Announcements go in Announcements, not conversations.
-
Ew ew ew ew ew. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but I do not like it right now.
-
Due to the extreme love held for the new version, I've loaded up the old theme. This might not be fully compatible with the new code, but we'll see.
-
I'm not sure if the update had anything to do with it or not, but the Good Music topic was crashing the forums. I've locked and moved it for now.
-
Is the ability to upload a new usericon borked? 'Change Picture' is now just pulling up the option to check the Gravatar, and that's it, at least from here.
-
Looks like the setting got turned off in the upgrade. I've turned it back on, so you should be good to go.
-
Awesome, thank you!
-
@EmmahSue has gone to bed, so new theme!
-
It looked like ass for about 10 minutes, then I suppose all the updates finished updating.
The big question, of course, is does it stop behaving like a wannabe AJAX app on my iPad. The world may never know.
-
So this theme is slick and all, but you might notice that chat is not quite working in the popups. You'll have to use the full screen chat for now.
-
How does one get the old theme back? I can't find it in settings or really anywhere else...
-
One of the drawbacks to this particular forum software is that there is no per user setting for themes. I'm not sure it's anywhere on the developers' horizon, even. We all end up with the same interface as a result.
-
I miss the 'here's all the threads that have updates' thing in the top corner; doesn't seem to be on this version of the forum.
-
Yeah, hating this immensely. Giant icon in the middle of things. Just no.
-
@Bobotron You need to click the 3 lines in the top left to get the menu.
I really hate this version. And posting sucks. I liked being able to look back at the other posts in the thread. Why do we need this?
-
@TNP, I can scroll back to older posts in the thread while posting. (Safari, OS X 10.10.4)
Testing Chrome (Windows 8.1): Yup, scrollback through the thread works here, too. Loads older posts if scrolling back enough.
-
@Thenomain The reply/post window takes up my entire screen and I can't shrink it. It also can't be opened in another tab. Firefox.
-
Firefox v40.0 works fine for me on linux. There's a black circle with a white arrow in it on the upper lefthand side that full or half-screen sizes the reply view in chrome and firefox for me.
-
Having to click the 'menu' thing for the unread topics button is inordinately annoying for some reason.
-
If you slide out the menu there's a toggle at the top that, when set, will leave the side menu open.
