I would like to change my name here. Is there a way for me or staff to do that or would I have to make an entirely new account?

Since it's the same account, it should change all of the posts.

Since it's the same account, it should change all of the posts.
But probably not the @named bits in other people's posts, so anyone who @ed Apu would still show as having @ed Apu.

It's a shame you can't just lock down the name Apu and have all @Apu redirect to the new name if you click it.

).This took way longer than it should have, but after bashing my head - and asking @Auspice to do the same - against this on and off for a couple of days since it kept insisting we didn't have permissions to do this. But my power!
So it turns out that's due to a nodebb bug that will get fixed in 1.8.3.
And now you know!
