Vampyr
-
Some of the dialogue is a bit weird, aye. I went to speak to an NPC (one that's rather important to the character, but not so to the story itself, really) and she seemed to alternatively know and not know that he's a Vamp in the same conversation.
-
-
@auspice ORLY? Who?
...asking for a friend.
-
-
@tinuviel And yeah, I fully admit that since I'm streaming, sometimes I'm talking about things over some conversations, so I might miss something, but at the same time I hope I didn't miss either outting myself, or someone else outing me as a vampire. Especially since the patient who thinks she is a vampire I'm all "Oh shit, she could draw attention here!" mission.
Tangent: Does anyone know if you kill a merchant you will get all his stuff?
Also, do we ever learn to pick locks?
How do I get my mezmerize up? There are people who need killing that I can't yet!
-
If you kill Thomas, the hunters assume she did it. :3
-
@insomnia Make absolutely sure you read as many of the notes as possible.
Also, do we ever learn to pick locks?
No. Certain areas open with the story, certain areas open with keys dropped by people you kill.
How do I get my mezmerize up?
AFAIK it goes up 'naturally' through story. To a max of 5.
-
Mesmerize seems to go up through using it. I finally got to 2 after my second use.
So look for those weak minded fools!
-
@auspice Really now? Huh. Are you sure it was use, and not use-coinciding-with-story-development?
-
@auspice Oh. Whoops! Also use per person, or use in general? Because I did it on Thomas once, then decided not to, but I had walked him halfway across the hospital at that point, then came back again later to kill him.
@Tinuviel I always try to do as much of the everything in my streams as I feel my viewers won't get bored. My full stream name is Moiren Magpie, and my logo is a stylized purple magpie (because they are blue IRL). My custom emote is a magpie so people can spam it when I get distracted by shinny things. Also people like my voice, so I read everything. (So much so that playing Batman I had someone complain I was reading too much and not Batmaning enough.)) So if there is something to read that shows me how he knows I'm a vampire I just haven't seen it yet.
-
@insomnia Oh, that wasn't a reply per se to your Vamp-status post. Just a word of advice when it comes to using mesmerise and such. Tiny details written on notes can be vitally important depending on how you play.
As for who knows and who doesn't, like I said some of the dialogue seems screwy. I can't tell if people are supposed to know, if they're just guessing, if they read too many penny bloods, or what. But I don't recall very many cases of Doctor Bloodsworth mentioning it to as many people as seem to know.
-
-
Also, do we ever learn to pick locks?
No. Certain areas open with the story, certain areas open with keys dropped by people you kill.
So chests and such you have to kill people to get into them then?
I believe so. I'll know for sure when/if I do a 'kill everybody' run.
-
I would probably do a kill everyone run now but I was told there would be less story so it will probably be a kill everyone after I have done their missions, run. >.>
Where do I get the cure for headaches? I found it somewhere, no idea how to make it.
Also: How do I water my fucking plant?
-
Where do I get the cure for headaches
***Map***
click to showAround there, the Old Whitechapel Road gate to the cemetery (I had to go through Whitechapel, rather than through the cemetery itself.) There is a crater with a corpse in it, loot that for the diagram thingo you have to analyse.
-
Thanks!
So no idea about the plant yet, huh?
-
@insomnia I never bothered with it. I think it might just be an atmosphere thing... I don't know.
ETA: I'm a goddamn lord of the night, I don't have time to deal with plants. But I will go around healing every Tom, Dick, and Harriet of their fatigue and their headaches.
-
I have a tab open on how to do the plant. I can share the link? I've not read it yet.
As for mesmerize, it went up after using it on Cadogan and unless it was reacting to a story element I hasn't unlocked yet....
I don't read the notes as much as I should, but I already get eyestrain squinting at my TV (I need new glasses and/or a desk so I can go back to a standard setup).
-
Yeah, I just read up on it.
I don't understand why I need to go through that rigmarole given that it's raining 99.999% of the time and there's a ledge right there. It's apparently an easter egg relating to Life is Strange.
-
Ooooh.
