Anyone interested in starting a new nWoD game?
-
It seemed like we had a few really good ideas gaining traction right before WORA died a messy death. Is anyone moving forward on any of them? Being a nerd, I've been writing up a bunch of crap for that 'Purgatory' game I proposed over on WORA, but if anyone else has anything going on I'd be willing to help out. Mainly because the odds of me actually getting a coder for my pet project is somewhere between 'Unlikely' and 'LOLNOPE'.

As far as I know there is, at least, 4 WoD games in the process of being made. I dunno for sure, though.

Shadow War (oMage/nMage game-to-be) is still a go, but it's also still waiting on the rules to come out so we can apply the translation guide appropriately. Spring 2015 means we'll prolly get them... October?

The game I and others have been working on for months is still a go. We have a lot done, with a bit more to go, and we're sort of waiting on Werewolf 2e. But we might go into alpha/beta fairly soon sans werewolf. Once the wiki is in a presentable state, you're going to get advertisements for it!

I had been working on a game but have mostly returned to maintaining Reno. That said I am often down for consulting and offering ideas.

Same on the consulting, offering ideas.

Coin already stole all my decent ideas anyway.

In all seriousness though, I HIGHLY suggest just cutting out all First Edition material for a new game.

A few people that I've spoken with are working on a nWoD 2.0 game. But we aren't releasing it until Mage comes out. We are working on code and grid and themely stuff in advance. If you'd like to take a gander at our ideas, hit me up. Some of you have my Skype.. which I will actually log on next week on my days off.

I'm at the point where I really don't have much interest in a game unless it won't have Mage as a playable sphere.
You can do so much more with them as NPC antagonists than you can with allowing them to be PCs. It solves so many problems on both ends, from PC power level to the age old 'What kind of antagonist do you throw at high end PCs?'
The answer to both? Make Mages NPCs.

@Sanguine I've been wondering where you'd gotten to. I was sad CielosMUX didn't seem to get off the ground.
-
@darksabrz Sadly as I was toying with the Cielos idea my RL starting beating on me, and I tend to quietly withdraw when that happens. This particular game isn't my baby. But I like the idea, so I'm lending a bit of support where I can. I'm helping some and that's about it. I am available on Skype though on my days off, typically Monday through Wednesday. Good to see you again!

Mummy needs to be a thing.

My want to see a Promethean game is strong as it is tragic.

OH GOD I have wanted to play Mummy so bad. It's so self-contained that it would practically have to be its own game, though. Maybe a minigame?
-
Mummy would be cool. Mine invests in toilet paper and linen stocks. runs like hell
-
@Royal At some point I should run a Promethean game for like 2 people, and see how craptastic things can go in the end.
-
@Huzuruth Betcha @tragedyjones leaps at the chance to be one of those two players.
-
Promethean is fixable if you just change the way mortals decide to pitchfork you/the way they taint the surrounding area. Mummy... even oWoD Mummy I liked. Was slightly disappointed in how nWoD Mummy turned out, with how DIFFERENT it was. It was the first time I had an idea of how all the folks felt when they whined about the other oWoD games changed.
Then I read how you could make your own giant statue that functioned like a battle mech/warstrider, and decided the changes were for the best.
