Okay, that's a mouthful but... I listened to a spy audiobook recently, and now I kind of want to play/run a short-term mini-mu* based around a spy org. My thought is maybe to pop up an ares mu* that would run for idk 4-6months or maybe for a little longer, based around a specific spy organization. PCs would all be a part of it, plot would be about espionage and stuff. Think Covert Affairs, Burn Notice, James Bond, etc.

      Any interest?

Okay, so seems to be some interest. I guess this might be similar to horror mu* and the network, but the difference between them being a) it wouldn't be just horror, and it also wouldn't be a long term meta-thing like the network. E.G. Any changing of genres wouldn't be an IC thing.

Any thoughts on what I should call the mush / website? Ideally it would be a place that that could host sort of short-term games. Like I could run SpyMU* for 4-6 (or whatever) months, and then take a break, and then maybe run another sci-fi themed thing for a few months as interest is peaked. I'd want it to be something that I wouldn't have to change the name of the domain every time myself (or someone else) wants to run something.

                  I'd be down for this.

Could it be a period piece type thing? Like, set during the Cold War or somesuch perhaps?

(I am so all about lady spies like Atomic Blonde and Eva and....)

                  Name ideas:
The Happening (and it'd be way better than that terrible movie so hey)
Storybook (cause, y'know, a single story at a time)
Or heck, call it Twilight Zone and each season is like looking into a 'what if' and you can use TZ-inspired imagery for the website.

Saying the quiet parts out loud since 1996.

Re: Cold War, I'm not personally super knowledgeable on what makes the cold war the cold war, other than the development of nuclear arms. If someone wanted help with the thematic bits of it, sure. So long as allowances are made for lady spy awesomeness, given the 50s wasn't the best time for women.

Or we could go Victorian era (actually, I think that might be another episode to do).

                    Hmm...

Maybe The Circus (shout out to John le Carré RIP).
