Help with rookie NEWS v. MUX

Hi, hello! I saw some of the helpful stuff and I was wondering... it's been some years since I set up anything MUX but I can't get the news to pull up beyond the initial 'news' in the actual shell text files, for example 'news age', subcategories are just not -- latest TinyMux, running. I feel like I'm stupidly missing an attribute sort of file when I do the & category. Any help is appreciated!
Shoot, this should be in MU questions shouldn't it?
