Could be that it's too often over-cooked and ends up leathery and dry, could be the taste of the fat, or otherwise the mouth-feel.
I can think of only two foods I refuse to eat: Brussel sprouts (because it smells like compost to me), and squid and the like (because my brain thinks it's eating snot and I haven't had it as a good carrier for flavor yet).
The only people I feel sorry for, and I genuinely do feel sorry for them, are those who will only eat one classification of food. The most popular in my region is 'Americana', burgers and meat and very little else, for example. It's like refusing to listen to anything but music from your High School years; what a sad and boring life that is.
Pineapple on pizza is absolutely amazing if done appropriately. Some things just don't jive with it.
I'd kill for an Imo's large right now. Ham, pineapple, onions and that legendary provel cheese. Spend time in St. Louis and a thin crust pizza anywhere else is just a mockery.
When I got to work yesterday, my coworker looks at me: 'Hey, do you like hawaiian pizza?'
while offering me her Dominos box.

I live in Los Angeles, and there's tons of pizza options around me.
And non-chains are all complete and utter crap.
They are just bad.
The best pizza near me is Round Table. Out of like 20 within three miles. These mom and pop non-chain places are just crap. More often then not, greasy as hell. The ingredients poorly flavored. No interesting options for sauces.
I've had some really good pizza elsewhere, but man.
On topic: anyone who likes pineapple on pizza is a monster.
