Mushing and Dating/Relationships

I've met a few people through MU* over the years. Some of the people I'm still friends with (and in some cases very close to) to this day are people I met on Cybersphere in the late 1990s.
I've had a few hookups with MU* people but I was pretty specific about not having things advance beyond that. I was also pretty young (late teens/early 20s) and didn't want a relationship with nobody no how no way.
I've had one serious relationship with another member of the MU* community. The relationship's end was for horrifying and fucked up reasons, but unrelated to gaming. We didn't have to figure out how to co-exist in MU* space because in addition to that ending, there was a rapid succession of 4 people dying in one year (3 in less than 6 months) and a serious family illness-- I was barely functional outside of work and couldn't hang with anything outside of staring at shitty TV. I don't remember most of that year. So I stopped doing everything.
