I tried to do a quick search on the topic and didn't come up with anything in the first couple of wheel scrolls so... 🙂

I'm trying to change my avatar image, but every time I upload a picture, it's overwritten by the very first I uploaded. It finally changed for a day or two, until I checked the boards from my phone and BOOM. Back. Is there something I'm missing? Is there an approval process or something?

I changed mine to see if the same thing happens. In this process I learned that you can't use an animated GIF and I'm a little-bit saddened.

Google's cache is like that one dragon from the one movie. Hording all the things.

If you open from another web browser, you'll probably see your new icon. If you clear your cache for this site, ditto.

Many browsers clear the cache if you hold 'shift' while hitting the reload button.

I'm not sure how to force it on mobile platforms.

@thenomain Oh for sure, but something on Chrome is weird, and ... I wish I could explain it more better. But Chrome clings to some images in that are called by js? I know this because my Chontio website sometimes will not update an image after I change it. Very sad.

But yes, holding shift (or ctrl, I think?) and clicking refresh/reload is a good idea.

@skew When working on 'live' development sites I go into the networking tab under the developer tools and turn off Cacheing. It'll download all of your assets fresh every time. 🙂

I tried clearing my cache, still no luck! Back to Genma Panda with a ball. So weird!

Update! My kid unplugged my computer, and after boot and loading Chrome again? My picture changed! Woot!
