When recruiting coders, I sometimes out of the blue throw in the question about which editor they use. It matters not to whether they get employed or not, but it's fun to see them handle that question - some squirm and are really reluctant to admit what they are using for fear of ending up on the opposite side of whatever I prefer.
Most often it just lightens the mood though. Pros may banter about it but don't really argue editors that much, they use whatever helps them.
