Reading this thread makes me wonder if anyone still plays these games for other purposes than getting laid.

I play these games for friends, violence, romance, political intrigue, creative exploration of outrageous concepts and personal flaws, and the sex we made along the way.

I continue to play mainly to code and socialize, and that's only because I've been doing this for what feels like forever and I simply don't have the energy to make the transition to a different platform.

Romance/sex is always going to be one of the most popular things to do on a MU*. It's intense and dramatic, while being low risk, and not requiring GM intervention to start, continue, or (usually) end. Also, it involves sex.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that, so long as you aren't derailing the things other people do so that they have to deal with your romance/sex things.

Most probable method of killing you. Getting you alone (codedly) in a locked room (codedly) and naked (codedly). Makes all the sexy RP extra exciting. You could get all the different variants of thrusting or you could get one. The only one you'll need to end O_O

On the topic of both sex and diversity, I've had multiple people over the years get disappointed that my black character wasn't a rough thug type and express how unsexy that is lmao.

@HelloProject I've mentioned this before on the site, but I know one black online RPG player who only plays white because of the time a white dude saw her PB and paged her about how glad he was that there was another "street" character for his kung-fu crack-smoking gangster lesbian to play with.
The PC was a lawyer.
