Wait, what comic is this Lucier thing about? Also give me a brief description of the show.

To be fair, in Mage. Most people only really use like two to three things from every Arcana level. Even in Mage most people don't do the advanced stuff.

RE: Good TV
I've been watching Grimm recently, it's fairly entertaining. Not like great quality or amazing stuff, but so far I feel invested and suitably entertained by it.
I can reccomend Person of Interest, I marathoned that some months back. Is very action oriented, follows a spy that is given a number for an I.D of a person who is somehow going to be involved in a murder, not knowing if it is a victim or a perp and then having to find out the situation.
Eventually grows into much more.

RE: RL things I love
I feel like after a few weeks of struggling with motivation and being able to focus to study, I've managed to ignite atleast some interest in the subject I am meant to study again. In this spesific case, got an exam the 20th.
Current thing that actually got me intrested, reading about the political evolution of the nordic countries between the World Wars, and why they maintained a parlamentary system and democracy during a period where a great deal of the European countries who took it up reverted to dictatorships after WWI.

As for the whole buy the dots to not get penalties and be able to do things your character should be able to. This is where a part of me says.
And this, is why we have the Mind Arcana.

RE: Comics Stuff
I remember that suit! I quit my subscription to Spider Man right around where he got it I think.

And occasional even successful games have tried non-US settings - HM comes to mind as it was set in Vienna, Germany.
Vienna is in Austria.
Carry on.

RE: Rewards in WoD
People keep saying they want 'low power' stuff and such, but has any such place really ever managed to attract people? The only one I can remember I have played that was like that was that mage game some year ago set in Scotland, Revelation or something.
Which well, didn't last long.

RE: Rewards in WoD
And now, for something entierly different.
So in a onlime MU* setting, this one aimed at World of Darkness since it is what I am storytelling,, how do you people think it is applicable to give out physical rewards gained from plots. The most obvious solution is money, but the 'currency' system of Resources in place doesn't really allow for much of it.
Although it worked with what Darkwater for example did where you get a certain amount of Resource points every month, so you can save up, hand out, bet etc. I think Kingsmouth does something similar.
But in the base, no. Which then moves us onto other physical rewards, items? Can you pick up the gun from the bad guy you just shot? Usually this seems to be not allowed or require a great amount of paperwork.
This mostly comes up when I feel I need to create an incentive for characters to go to location X for plot. And the most obvious way is to promise reward, but since XP isn't exactly a thing you can use as motivations IC, what do you do? Or do I just trust players to make up excuses for their PCs to attend?

RE: Geist Reconstruction
It was a plot consisting of 11 scenes involving 13 seperate PC and ended with Patrick making a deal with them after a series of assaults against important officers within the Free Company, and killing the Leaders second-in-command, which forced them to abbandon all activity in North America.
I mean I am European so my scenes aren't in the ideal time for americans, but that's bigger than most plots and I guess I'd count it as attention.
Anyway, I am derailing at this point I guess.

The majority of the activity in the Arrows was me trying desperately to organize elections after Councilors and Provosts kept quitting left and right, and it was like pulling teeth every single time. I hated it, they hated it, and beyond that, you couldn't organize an Arrow event to save your soul.
Hey I ran the Svartsol plot around that time, far as I know people enjoyed that and they were a fair number of scenes.
Unless that doesn't count?

Magic. That's it. That's the only thing required for me to check out a game.
Yet you won't try a My Little Pony game.
I name you a liar, sir.

RE: Fantasy MU*s?
Wait, people have an issue with that the super soldier mutant is a super soldier?
-
RE: Fantasy MU*s?
Basically yeah, which doesn't seem to be a thing anywhere alas, even less so GMC Dark Ages.

RE: Fantasy MU*s?
I'll admit I prefer it a little more 'low' fantasy or whatever you wanna call it than that. For Vampire I like Underworld Rise of The Lycans for example, where you have Vampires living in their great castles, the sorrounding villages paying tribute and everyknow kinda knows what they are, but not really.

RE: Fantasy MU*s?
I've more recently more to realise I kinda just want a Fantasy game of World of Darkness. Basically just put it in something middle ages generic european country and do away with the Masquearade/Veil/Whatever.

@Olsson Im sorry I told you to quit hitting on me. I'm just not into you though. Fucking creeper.
Now you're just giving me mixed signals, you said Swedes were the only people you didn't hate.

RE: RL Anger
To be fair, any person flirting with someone where it isn't a share fatuation pretty much comes off as a creep.
Same as how most romantic gestures are creepy if it's not someone you are into.
