You're conflating having power with not having weaknesses, which is not the same thing, though. Just saying.
Where your level of power can obviate or effectively conceal any weakness, you've probably got too much power. In my experience, STing these sorts of NPCs bores the shit out of my players.

@Ganymede
Fair enough, but as a storyteller, when I present an antagonist with what seems to be too much power, there's often a fatal flaw in there somewhere, with clues for the PCs to find. And if there isn't, the antagonist is not the one they'll be facing until they're powerful enough to meet it head on. I accept that this is just me, though. -
That's a fair thing to do. I simply dislike doing so. Villains should not be unconquerable ***but for *** a fatal flaw. For some reason, that sticks in my craw.
I prefer situational-solving, but have found that people would rather resort to dice-rolling than devising solutions for large problems. I suppose that's the nature of the game, but I'd like to think otherwise.

@Ganymede
Well, I was using it as an example of what I do when I want to present an antagonist of that sort. It's often not the way I actually do things. Sometimes I do, because the plot calls for that sort of bad guy; often it'll be more complex.I am also just generally adverse to presenting antagonists you can defeat by lobbing handfuls of dice at, which in turn can often seem, to players who are used to solving things that way, as an antagonist who is unbeatable. It's not the case; it's just that they aren't beatable in the one way the players have decided to approach the situation.

To make the point that I suck at making in text, I give you Superman vs Doomsday:
As a kid this taught me about the sliding scale of power and that to always remember that there is always someone out there more badass than you. In RP I don't know why we don't think the same. I mean you have a gang of changing breed PCs with approx 600XP each. T1 mortal Hunters armed with pitchforks and torches probably isn't a good choice of enemy / antagonist / ect. (to use nWoD themed examples >.>)
I think @Coin has a valid point in saying:
You're conflating having power with not having weaknesses, which is not the same thing, though. Just saying.

Many, many people find Superman to be the most boring superhero, because he is too powerful.
Yes, you can create antagonist to fit the extremely powerful PCs, but you end up savin' the world from the Debil Himself on a weekly basis.
There's nothing wrong with you liking that, dude, but don't have a whinge that it's not everybody's cuppa.

@il-volpe
Not sure anyone was having a whinge. -
@il-volpe A whinge? Next you're going to say I hurt some feeling because I disagree with your or the point of view? I internet bullied you for not falling in line? Or having an opposing view?
This is where I say:
