There are Pyrenees puppies at a local shelter and I am like I HAVE A HUNDRED DOLLARS GIVE ME THE PUPPY!!
(But I do not have the SPACE for a puppy right now

I do not have a Pyr. I think like any other double-coated dog, they wouldn't do so well in the heat and humidity of my state. Also, since I'm fond of adopt-not-shopping, there's a lack of big floofs in my area. HOWEVER, this is my girl, Bell:

@Kanye-Qwest PFFT. Farm dogs are the BEST. Full stop. You shouldn't be sorry ever-ever because he looks like the sweetest bub.

i bought braum, but i bought him for $300 from the farmers who kept his mom and dad to guard their livestock, and they just breed their dogs when it's time to train up new guardians.Which is still not adopting but i am not sorry. He's my angel baby.

No one should ever feel bad about where they get their puppies from.

You should feel bad if you get your puppies from a puppy mill. However, buying a dog is also acceptable in situations like the one Kanye described. Puppy mills are the absolute worst, but farm dogs are fantastic.

@Admiral thats why I wish I had the space for a puppy, cause adoption of a great pyr for $100- with all their shots and being spayed/neutered is not likely to come around again.

to be fair, they are not cheap dogs to KEEP, either. Vaccines and medications for braum are expensive because he weighs 170lbs (most pyrs do not weigh 170 lbs, more like 110).
I mean he is so very much WORTH it, but I am glad I have the income to take care of these things and also spend $100 on treats and food every week or so. They are fantastic, wonderful dogs, but they are not right for everyone's life.

- I pulled that "someone left me broken hearted - sobsob - I should get a DOG" and drove two hours to pick her up from the rescue group. She'll be 13 by the summer.
