@kestrel Oh my gosh she's gorgeous.

I feel like I'm accompanied by this beacon of sunlight who spreads joy everywhere she goes, putting smiles on people's faces and brightening people's day. A teenage girl once stopped me to say, 'Can I pet your dog? Please I've had a really shitty day.' Just ... this dog is such a source of goodness. I love her so much. A perfect being.
Seven years ago, I was on break at work, sitting in my car in the parking lot with the windows down and my arm hanging out the door because it was a little too warm not to want fresh air on my skin, you know? And then something furry headbutted my palm, so I looked down and it was a dog. Some lovely goodboi came up out of nowhere and just stuck his head into my palm for a stroke. Seven years ago, and I still remember how happy it made me.
Dogs are so great.

And as I am reading this (And admiring Andi's pretty pretty eyes!), Logan came and put his head in my lap for rubs.

My baby is currently outside in the yard for her daily dose of /running free/, because otherwise she will destroy the house. But before that she kept running over to me and colliding her little furry body with mine, before running off again.

Here's my dude worrying because I laughed too hard.

In my head, he now exists as Scooby.

@derp He gets that a lot!

@snackness dat faaaaaace

It's really super sweet that my dog is very concerned about how sick I am and just wants to lay next to me and cuddle.....
It would also be much more effective if he'd stop releasing gag-inducing farts, like, right on me when I already have food poisoning.

Oof. I know this situation well.

@derp Dogs, man. Their love is whole-hearted, unconditional, and gross.

Logan this morning, wanted so badly to hang out with the maintenance man. But while the guy didn't act scared, he was clearly a little nervous (I mean, Logan is 70-75 lbs of 'pit bull' looking monster.) But he didn't bark at him, and just sat with me on the patio. The guy finally dared to pet him when he was done and heading out. ..and got to laugh at Logan's tail wagging so hard he took a little bucket citronella candle right off the patio table.
My dog, terrifying strangers before loving them to submission for 8 years now. It makes me so happy.

This post is deleted! -
@derp Who clearly thinks he is a lapdog, just like Logan does.
It's just funny, because obviously I know what a total marshmallow he is. He only barks to get attention, but he also only has one bark. And it's loud.

@derp What a big ol' lump

Winnie gets really excited when I get home and walk toward the back door to let her, and her sister, out to the yard. After all she hasn't seen me in a while, and she wants to be out! So she jumps on my heels because yay. And that's fine.
However when I take Winnie for a long walk, once we get home I let them both out in the back yard so her sister can get some fresh air too. Then the dumb dog still gets excited and jumps on my heels even though she was just out with me.
Wtf dog.

@arkandel Dogs appreciate all the simple pleasures, all the time. I wish I could be more like my dog.

Apparently, editing a post will still show stuff in the history. Anyway! The picture apparently has raised some concern, and since I can't edit it, I just deleted the post, so that's why there's a deleted post! Nothing bad, just can't perma-change it.

FYI you can see your own post history, but others can only see that the post was edited, they can't see the history itself. (People used to be able to, but the admin changed it some months ago.)

Idk, why I just remembered. One night Willow and I were doing our 30minute walk after I got off of work. And as we were walking through the apartment complex parking lots, we came across a couple of ladies who were on their fenced in patio, shouting at the sliding glass door toward what appeared to be a Mastiff.
"You keep pushing it down! You need to push it up! Stop pushing it down!"
Meanwhile, the big lug was happily bouncing up and down against the door. Big old paws continuously knocking against what I could only assume was the door handle and lock.
You guessed it.
Their dog had locked them outside on their patio.
