@Pandora I haven't heard of it! When it comes to video games when my friends talk about it I just kinda get a blank stare.
I HAVE been known to finish a few games in the past. Uh. Kingdom Hearts for PS2. Fable! Like all the Fables. Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 for PS2 (but because I played with my husband and kept stealing all the loot sorry not sorry ) and maybe Bloodrayne back in the day because who doesn't like scantily clad vampires kicking nazi ass?
No but really you seem to have found a game that's RIGHT UP my dang alley. I am definitely going to get it tonight and give it a try.

@Pandora There are 3 secret societies but if you don't go Illuminati you are doing it wrong.
-
New World nouveau riche corporate scum.

My nerdiness shows through. Recently I've been watching a ton of Tabletop Tactics. Warhammer 45k. I used to play when I was younger, and I found this, and if it's not quite as fun as doing it myself, at least I get some taste of it.

Quoted for damn truth. I've literally only done the intros for the other societies to see their bases.

I literally am just playing through the game off and on now to see all the KG comments on every mission completion.

Most of my faves have been mentioned, here are some that were missed:
Some More News Cody's Showdy
Templin Institute History and Lore of different nerddoms in nice bite sized pieces.
One Mind Syndicate Mostly 40k lore videos, but they sometimes cover other things. Gersh's voice is very relaxing.
EckhartsLadder Come for the star wars lore, stay for the doggo at the end.
Lady Knight The Brave Pop culture video essays.
Steve Shives Guy who talks about Star Trek. A lot.
PBS Space Time BLACK HOLES!!!!
Seth Skorkowsky RPG Reviews and a few great stories.
Space Dock Nerding out hard about space ships in Scifi.
Tier Zoo If the animal kingdom were and MMO.
MRESteve1989 Is this a cooking show? I think I've mentioned it here before in another thread.
Seriously Wrong Seriously, it was wrong of me to forget this one. They are great, though more podcast than youtube channel.
-
Have any of us mentioned Last Week Tonight? I forgot about it since it's been in hiatus.
-
Tex Talks Battletech has a new episode up for BT fans who like lore and battlemech analysis.
-
Is that Black Pants Legion Tex?
-
@Ominous He is part of the BPL, yus.

I've never actually been a fan of Sudoku before but for whatever reason this channel 'Cracking the Cryptic' showed up in my youtube recommendations:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hAyZ9K2EBF0It's almost hypnotizing to watch this guys enthusiasm as he solves mindbogglingly hard puzzles in minutes while apologizing for being slow. He has such a pure love for the process, the puzzles and the people who make them that I've found myself watching for hours and hours. I definitely recommend watching him even if you don't normally like puzzles because his genuine joy is infectious.

I am eternally fascinated by experts because I am not and have never been one. I like a lot of stuff and know a little about a lot, rather than a lot about a little.
James Hoffman is an expert on coffee. As an avid coffee enthusiast, I appreciate this. I love coffee and drink it every day, but don't know a lot about it. Watching his channel is changing that for me.
On a normal day, I would rather pay a trusted expert to make my coffee — it's my only drug, and a much needed break during my normal commutes — but right now everywhere's closed so I'm making do at home. With all this free time I may as well git gud at it. I like this video especially on the science of freezing coffee which taught me a lot I didn't know before and made me realise I was doing it all wrong, all the time. Never too late to learn though.

A lot of my favorites have already been mentioned: zefrank, Jubilee, Linday Ellis, etc.
The Makeup Chair Really excellent makeup tutorials for all levels of experience. Extremely well organized.
Rudy Rochman is a new discovery. He has some fascinating, thoughtful observations about Judaism, Zionism, and the Palestinian conflict. His AIPAC videos are especially worth watching.
The Ask Project Corey Gil Schuster is a North American living in Israel. He invites people to send him questions about Israelis, Palestinians, Judaism, etc, and then goes out and asks locals what their opinions are.
Black Nerd Comedy Reviews and recaps of pop culture. His Cats review is the funniest to date.

I watch WAY too much YouTube. I am ok with this.
Good Mythical Morning + Good Mythical More - I love me some Rhett and Link, will never apologize
Mythical Kitchen - Josh is freaking hilarious and Nicole and Trevor are darling
Biographics - I have really gotten into this channel lately, but then I'm a total fool for history and biographies
Jamel aka Jamal - I don't know why I love reaction videos so much, but I really do. This guy is super positive and open, and he cried during Jeremy by Pearl Jam and just, yup. Sold.
Frog Leap Studios - I love me some metal covers and this guy is just amazing.
Kittisaurus - One of my cats watches this show intently. It is bizarre. She legit watches it. I love it. Plus my god, Lulu. Don't forget the subtitles unless you speak Korean. ETA: Thank you @Packrat ! WTF is wrong with people??
Film Joy or Movies with Mikey - Super insightful, lots of interesting takes on movies and the writing behind them.
Hot Ones - Love love love this show. Incredible interviews, funny premise. -

Apparently this channel has been stolen from the woman who makes the videos by some jackass company who also tried to bully her into giving up her cats to them (?), or some similar drama. They are super cute though and she set up her own channel where the revenue actually goes to the creator.
KittisaurusAlso Coco is obviously the cutest of the cats.

Cupcake already mentioned Black Nerd Comedy, which I love.
Food Wishes with Chef John, who is the Bob Ross of cooking. Good natured with a little bit of snark, self-effacing, lots of puns.
Casually Comics. Sasha talks comics, old, new, deep dives into obscure or underused characters.
Fact Fiend with Karl Smallwood. Hilarious talk about pop culture facts.
Overly Sarcastic Productions. Blue does breakdowns of different moments and times in history (he leans heavily into the Roman Empire/Italy). Red does mythology and writing tropes, and provides cartoony art for both. They are entertaining and educational.
Readus 101, with La'Ron Readus. Reviews of movies, tv shows, comics and books with wit and style. If you like Black Nerd Comedy, you might like La'Ron.

Hildegard von Blingin' is my new favourite musical artist. She does medieval-style covers of modern hits.
All ye bully-rooks with your buskin boots
Best ye go, best ye go
Outrun my bow
All ye bully-rooks with your buskin boots
Best ye go, best ye go, faster than mine arrowIn sooth I do not need thy love
But thou makest me a stranger and that feels so rough
Hadst thou need to stoop so low?
To send a wagon for thy minstrel and refuse my letters -
@Kestrel I've heard the instrumental versions of these but not the vocal ones and now I'm deeper in love.
