The fact that you already have all of the tax documents you need is just shy of amazing itself

Digital age, man.
None of the paper versions have arrived, but I happened to check my school's site today and theirs were up in PDF already and my employer's went up end of last week. HR Block will grab all the data from PDF. Made the process super easy. -
I already started mine on Turbotax but have to wait for 3 different places to get me the documents I need.

Check out HR Block. I gave it a shot and found out if you get any/all of your refund on an Amazon gift card, they'll give you 15% more of that amount on said gift card.
Considering I was gonna gift myself a PS4 (as like a 'hey everything's been shitty for a while and you've wanted this for a long time!'), I opted to put enough for one on an Amazon gift card, so it's like an added bit of bonus cash on top.

I too use HRBlock.

I'd been using TurboTax for a while, but last year they were just... a pain in my ass and I decided I was done with them this year. HRBlock was easy. I was done in about half an hour, no problem. Their site let me upload PDFs of my tax documents (thank you to my school and employer for having those!), it was much more clearly defined. I was just much happier with it overall.

My DNA is getting sent to a genetic testing lab, and I'm getting blood work done, to see what psych meds might work best for me.
The initial impression is that I might have a severe undiagnosed form of depression, ditto on the anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD.

With tongue planted firmly in cheek? Welcome to the club.
I sincerely hope that whatever treatment is worked out for you has the best of results, and that your life changes for the better because of it.

First week as the manager of a team that was in crisis. I survived, so did the team. So. Bloody. Tired. Now.

So I think overuse was the issue re: my foot. I took a week off my walking commute because of the weather (cold = bad for my fibro self) and just paid for the Lyft to work. Today was my first day walking again.
Foot began hurting, but I made it a quarter mile further before it did and it didn't hurt as badly. So it's not the shoe, either. Nor something that will go away, sadly, with more training/practice.
The upshot is that someone has offered to sell me their car at a great deal. So once my tax refund comes in... I think I'm set. I've been telling myself for a few years now that if I just held out, something would come through. And lo and behold.... So I'll have a vehicle soon and be able to use the free time to start using my apartment gym to develop a more rounded out exercise routine instead.

@auspice Get a mechanic to check it out before you buy it.

So I made this post a while back and now that the move is finished (as chronicled here) I'm sort of blown away.
We pulled off the move without any major hitches. We love the house we rented on the basis of a few blurry iPhone pictures and some short video clips. We love being up on a mountain with ravens hopping around the backyard. The property backs right up to a national forest. We narrowly escaped the polar vortex in the northeast and the climate in our new home is being super kind to both of us, after years of waking up in the morning aching and stiff. My partner started getting freelance work literally the Monday after the Friday we arrived. And in under a month I had a job that should (cross fingers) be extremely secure, for more money than I was getting before despite the cost of living being around 75% of what it was. I struggle to think of literally anything that went seriously wrong with the whole process.
I say all this not to brag about how awesome I am and how great my life is. I say it because I am acutely aware of how ridiculously, absurdly fortunate I've been, and I don't want the universe getting to thinking that I expect this. So this is my version of Polycrates throwing a ring into the sea.

@autumn Moving is immensely stressful even when things go well, my last big move (most recent one I literally moved less than two miles) I paid for a removal company to do ninety percent of the work and I was still utterly exhausted and stressed out by the time it was done. I think I slept for about twelve hours on my sofa that evening because I was too tired to put my bed together the day I got there.

I haven’t posted in this thread yet, but since I am waiting at the radiologist, I figured I would.
I am getting an ultrasound of my thyroid today for Hashimoto’s. I am currently unmedicated for hypothyroidism, but we’ll see after today’s imaging.
The past 18 months has been a rollercoaster as I have premature atrial contractions that went symptomatic, causing me to feel faint and dizzy if not on beta blockers.
Add this to my PDD (dysthymia), and gaining 40 pounds in 6 months, and I am grumpy face.

migraine day. With the whole symptom suite.
Light sensitive.
Sound sensitive.
Nausea.
Vertigo.I'm barely functional at work.
I'm glad my meds have cut back on the frequency of migraines, but I really just want to never get them.
