Auspice Needs To Move!

Just as an update! Auspice has made it as far as Colorado, alive and well! I cut my finger to pieces cleaning for her. We are ordering pizza; I am going to fill up her tank in the morning. All is good!

I should have @Meg do all my future updates. Long drive was long. Tomorrow will be longer. Someday I will get to sleep in (I think sometime next week).

 Hang in there!

Meg and I have matching cats. Almost. Ike is a little smaller and has a slightly bigger tuft of white on her chest. After I wrap up work this morning, I will hit the road and head to my motel of choice tonight in Abilene. It'll be a 10 hour drive, not counting stops. The longest trek of the journey.

Am I the only one taking everything that Meg and Auspice have said in the last day as a series of euphemisms?

 Well, not NOW.

 Just for @KDraygo

Abilene to Austin should be a short jaunt, at the very least.

@Admiral said in Auspice Needs To Move!: Abilene to Austin should be a short jaunt, at the very least. That's why I chose Abilene. I knew if I didn't set the goal beforehand, I'd risk only driving a short ways today and leaving the long day for tomorrow and I didn't want that. The hotel to apartment tomorrow is only 3.5 hours. Should be easy. EDIT: Done work. Time to load up the cat and hit the road! Much thanks to @Meg for putting me up for the night, dinner, and fueling up the truck this morning.

Auspice survived the trip. Barbecue was had. That is all.

It was thoroughly devoured. Mostly I'm just thrilled to be able to get sweet tea again. Esp. since I no longer drink soda anymore. That was a big struggle on the drive. You do a long drive, you eat fast food. Fast food places largely just have soda. ANYWAY. Yes! I am settled. Much much thanks to @Admiral and his roommate for helping unload. After loading the truck and driving all those days, I was still pretty noodly. Plus, because of them, we got it done pretty much just as it began raining.

@Misadventure http://www.stilesswitchbbq.com/ is the place. It was quite good. My favorite is another place, though.
