Seeking RP, Crafting and Trading
-
I have some free time and I'm looking for a game is primarily a roleplaying game, but there's mechanics there that allows for crafting, gathering and/or trading. I'm playing this game now, called Cantr and I'm surprised that I enjoy it so much. It's a slow paced game. RP events, conversations and such can take real life days since it's sort of like a play by post game. Traveling and other actions take time as well.
Anyway, I'm looking for a similar game. I remember years ago, Chiaroscuro and Firan where both games that had mechanics similar to what I'd like. So, are there any other current games like this? I'm looking for something fantasy based. But, I'd try out a WoD game (I love Changeling).
PS: I know I could check out some MUDs, but most games that have crafting and such are so grindy. I'd rather roleplay than go than grind handkerchiefs repeatedly before I can make a dress.

Posted link was malformed. The game is here: www.cantr.net
Note to @Jeshin: This is what I think a "newbie guide" looks like. They need to load the interface images into the wiki itself, but it's pretty complete.

@Breezy There aren't a lot of games that have that level coded interaction outside of MUDs. If you're looking for more RP heavy MUDs, however, there's a group that has started up called Optional Realities that might have what you're looking for in a game.
There's a pretty large (and wandering) topic here about it: Optional Realities & Project Redshift.

With Firan dead, I'm afraid I'm unaware of anything other than a MUD that has actual crafting or trading. The closest you'll probably get is that zombie mush (No Return?) or something like that. It has some kind of salvage system.

Hey,
Thanks for drawing my attention to this. It's been put into my look into further pile.
