Smut & Romance haters Need Not Apply! ❤

So whatcha read that is steamy? Anywhere from Slightly to I Can't Read This In Public (what if someone looked over my shoulder, oh god).

I really like pretty much anything by Nalini Singh, over @EmmahSue's objections! If I could just die and wake up in two weeks when Archangel's Engima comes out, I'd be very happy!

I also really liked Meljean Brook's iron seas series. I also liked her stand alone 'Frozen'. However, I'm not incredibly found of her 'Guardian' series.

I'm just going to talk to myself, now!

But I'm going to die if it doesn't become September first. SOON.

@Cobaltasaurus Modern romance. Bunch of brothers that own a tattoo parlor and the women they fall in love with (plus a few side books about their friends). I know of a dozen books in the series so far.

Oh, there's also Cora Seton. She has a lovely set of novel's set in a town called Chance Creek. Also modern romance. There's a ton of them, I've got maybe 5-6 and I'm still finding more.

Thread of Deepest Black by Finn Marlowe.

It's gay BDSM paranormal romance with the two protagonists (or the protagonist and the antagonist - it's complicated) being werewolves. The world is actually pretty damn interesting. I wish the author would write more of them. Could even skip the porn.

I read a vintage erotica book about a housewife having sex with a dog, entitled The Wife Does Dogs by David Crane.

The dog was not a very compelling character, but somehow that only increased the intensity of the scenes he occupied.

The housewife was a very flat character and did not seem to have much a life outside of her house and her dog; I mean, I'm sure she probably had opinions about the world outside of her suburb, but the author did not clue us in to them.

There was not much of the way in story. We do not get to see the housewife or the dog connect meaningfully, or calibrate their emotional levels with each other.

The sex scenes were pleasant, if a bit wonkily written. Apparently, dogs ejaculate copious amounts.

There are 26 more e-books in this pack of vintage smut.

The next one is called Deep Crotch Mother.

I'm sad that this isn't an erotic novel about Queen Elsa of Arendelle.
