How To Fix MU Soapbox

A while back, I switched to infinite scrolling on a lark to see what it would be like. Since I did that (and quickly switched back, it was awful hard to keep track of anything) the game has consistently been dumping me at the wrong spot of ongoing threads I return to.
I don't mean the start, I don't mean the end, I mean somewhere in 2017 (on average).
...Halp.

I wonder if it's related to the fact that since a recent update, if I click on a notification (soandso liked your...), it just dumps me on a random post in that thread... not the one actually liked.
I just chalk a lot of it up to 'nodebb is garbage.'

Yeah, it's dumping everyone in random spots. It also isn't keeping track of your actual last read position in threads.

In the interest of troubleshooting, I can report that I'm not experiencing any of these issues. To guess haphazardly at possible drivers, I don't have anyone blocked or ignored? I can't think of any other setting that would be substantially different from anyone else.
I did get here late, though, sometime in 2018 -- so maybe it's a thing that happens to older accounts.

I don't have any of these problems. I have tons of things blocked (people, threads, sections of the forum).

I don't have any of these problems either, though I do click on the thingie on mobile where I randomly send MYSELF to random pages, so ymmv.

Sometimes I read on the phone, sometimes on the computer, and for a while, each would track the last post I read on them... so if I only read to page 5 on the phone, read to page 10 on the computer, then went back to phone, it would dump me to page 5.
It stopped at some point, and I think it started again, I'll experiment more.
