Shadowrun: Anarchy MU seeking staff
-
I am in the process of creating a MUSH using the Shadowrun: Anarchy ruleset.
My coder is working through version 1 of chargen at the moment, and I've been working on descing up a very basic grid for Seattle.
Just the two of us there, at the moment, so I'd be happy to hear back from anyone who might be interested in lending a hand with not only getting the game built, but also staffing it in the future.
Needed roles:
- Theme/Lore staffer(s)
- 'grunt work' staffers - to handle character approvals in chargen and afterwards
- a dedicated Builder
- Storytellers
None of the roles listed above are mutually exclusive, of course.
-
Is this going to be an Ares game, or something else?
-
@sixregrets It's the Shadowrun: Anarchy ruleset as a whole. It will not be focused on only one specific corporation. If that's the story you want to tell, though, you'd be most welcome to do so.

Ah, I was actually referring to the server software AresMUSH, so that's probably 'something else', then.
-
@sixregrets I totally misunderstood the question. My bad! We're using Rhost.
-
Anarchy looks like so much fun! I hope this gets off the ground.
-
@derp Would you be interested in helping it 'get off the ground'? Even if not, I am quite happy to see the enthusiasm.

Sadly, I am already committed to other projects. But I hope you find someone! I read through the book thinking ‘man this would be a fun system for MU’.

I may actually check this out once you get to where you're taking character applications. I do thoroughly enjoy Shadowrun, and I bought Anarchy when it came out, but haven't had a chance to see how it is in play yet.
-
@misterboring I'll be posting here when we're open for alpha-testing.
-
Shadowrun's a game I always wanted to try but never got around to. Nowhere near familiar enough to do most staffing stuff, but I could possibly make about 10 or so room/hangout descs if that helps. Or else just cheer on and wait for y'all to actually open up.
-
My time's pretty spotty as far as availability goes, so my trying to help wouldn't work, but you can definitely count on me as a player.

I'm just over here amused because it isn't often that the Shadowrun influence on AresMUSH/FS3 comes up, lol.
More on topic - I'm no help, but Shadowrun is fun. Good luck.

We spoke on a MU, and I haven't unburied the laptop from miniatures I've been working on since then, but I managed to find a hard copy of Anatchy and am totally still interested in helping.
-
@jennkryst Catch me online on that MU, sometime, and we'll get you on SR:A.

Just wanted to refresh this, as I'm still seeking staffers for my mush, as per the original post.
Roles needed:
- Theme/Lore staffer(s)
- 'grunt work' staffers - to handle character approvals in chargen and afterwards
- a dedicated Builder/desc-writer
None of the roles are mututally exclusive.
With this said, the 'core' of the grid is built, but without any 'points of interest' on it, just a 'street grid', I guess. There's a good bit of code already, too, with chargen already taking shape.
-
@masterreeve I would possibly be able to work on staff. Desc/builder possibly, grunt work possibly. I just know nothing about SR: Anarchy so let me start there, but wanted to drop some potential interest.
