I like the MSP group myself for it's unofficial theme like some sort of a Lawman's Star Chamber.

Question for the peanut gallery: How do folks feel about having access to pre-built characters? As in, stats and basic sheet done, with, say, maybe a few points left around for customization? Obviously gender and personality would be left mostly blank.

I wouldn't mind tinkering around with one, at least initially. Get a feel for the system/game by having something mostly set up for me already.

Next question: How many pre-generated player factions do you guys think is a good number? To date, we have 6, with ideas for a seventh.

I personally dislike pregenerated characters, because they're not /mine/. I don't mind templates so much though because it's not like, a fully created character like you'll find with rosters.

Seriously though, seven sounds fine if you feel the game can support them all. And if nobody shows interest in one or two, you can always NPC it later on down the line.

@Miss-Demeanor Yes, one is the mad scientist group. Which is going to be named something besides Coin's STD Initiative.
And I think making some "faction characters" that are open to being PCs and will be made into NPCs if no one is interested in playing them sounds like a good plan.

@skew YAY! Although, I was kinda looking forward to the STD thing. I was even gonna go all Hudson Hawk with it and have her code name be an STD... sigh Oh well, at least there's science!!!
And thanks. I've often thought that about a lot of games and the differing factions. There always seems to be one or two along the way that just don't draw interest for one reason or another. Seems prudent in those cases to NPC the faction so the others can still deal with them when necessary without making staff have to figure out how to make it work in a PC-less faction.
