      @gasket @Faceless in all seriousness, if you can find it, check out "Kings". It's a really good example of what a modern day monarchy with a functioning aristocracy/noble class might look like.

        @Cupcake Netflix has it. Not streaming, but they do have it on DVD. I think the NBC/ABC (whichever network it was on) site might still have it streaming as well. I know they did for a long while, though the last time I looked for it was a few months ago when I wanted to show it to someone.

        He said it reminded him a lot of the way some anime uses inspiration from Western myths/religious themes to create something borderline sci-fi/fantasy from hearing a bit about it and then seeing the first few episodes, and he's kinda on to something there, I think.

        Oh fucking well.

              Dystopian-future rather than modern, but the comic series Lazarus is set in a world where a small number of Families rule over everyone else, who are basically regulated to the status of serfs or worse. Much more grim-gritty than what folks are proposing, granted.

                Future setting sounds amazing y'all. Very different and appealing. 🙂 I'm for sure keeping an eye on this project.

                  @Shincashay

                  I think that is not what they are doing. It wouldn't be a Kushiel game in that case.

                      Not a future based one. that was just conversation that others were throwing around.
