I and some others know this to be a truth, but in the newest incarnation of WoD, in what books, on which pages, is the following rule:

When you make notable progress toward a Long-Term Aspiration, gain a beat.

Wodologists have looked and so far have found nothing, but we heard about it somewhere, and it's established even here :: http://forum.theonyxpath.com/forum/main-category/main-forum/the-new-world-of-darkness/32075-on-long-term-aspirations

      Thanks.

        Buuuuut... Aspirations are haaaaaard 😞

Then when it's all over and the rest of you are ready for Dead Animal Pickup, I'm gonna go balls deep into Dahl. But only because she asked me to. Sweet-like. - Riddick (2013)

Are you sure it wasn't a house-rule Reno came up with? They're the first MU to start using beats in any real way that I can recall. If @tragedyjones introduced it, it might have been assumed moving forward.

I poked through GMC and WW2nd and couldn't find it either. I am tempted to lulz in the general direction of certain folks, if it's nowhere to be found.

                Vampire 2nd ed, p.274

A couple of notes on Aspirations:
                • It’s important to remember that grander Aspirations can award
Beats any time the character takes meaningful steps toward
resolution; don’t punish players for taking lofty goals.
