      HOKAY.

Most of you who actively MU* with me right now (mostly BSG:U folks as I'm pretty lurk-y over on FW) know I am basically obsessed with Elite these days.

Is anyone else currently playing? If so, would you be interested in adding me on Discord? Maybe creating a channel we can all hang out in, share handy info (like some massive credit-making missions I've found lately?), winging up sometimes to pew-pew?

I... used to play? I reinstalled and toyed with it a bit, but I'm still not sure where I actually would want to start in order to get into more exploration.

So I'm working towards exploration (hence missions to make massive credits) so I can build this Asp Explorer.

Ultimately I wanna build this one, but it costs twice as much.

I was shown a mission that, upon completion, is like 200 million credits (which would be moooooore than enough for the 2nd ship), but takes about 16 hours?! And is also complicated af. I might try it next week. I'm apprehensive. It requires a spreadsheet.

(I mean obvs I can do exploration with less, but those are like, optimal builds. They'll let me just cruise outside the bubble and explore to my heart's content.)

Elite Dangerous is on my list of shit to try once my car is paid off and I can start saving for a hardcore computer. Right now I have a rinky-dink Kmart laptop.

It's worth it. I've been enjoying the hell out of it.

I was lucky enough to have a stint of about 8 months where I had a more flush income a few years ago and I needed a halfway decent gaming machine for work, so it was also a tax write-off. I've just had to upgrade a couple pieces here and there since.

I'd still love a gaming mouse, keyboard, and HOTAS, but for ED I'm getting away just fine with a XBOne controller.

Is Elite Dangerous the one that's taking forever to make with people putting down thousands for huge high spec ships or is that another game?

                I can't really remember.

This may or may not change in the future.

That's Star Citizen. Elite Dangerous has been out for a few years and is a complete game. Once you buy it, you're golden. The only money after is for cosmetics, like nameplates for your ship, colored weapon beams or engine trails, flight suits, etc.
