Man, I like the Killers' new stuff, but I love "Run for Cover" so much more!
Also, the origins of my username -- nothing to do with me except that I live in New York state; I just thought the name was catchy when I was 19 or so (before the burlesque club with the same name opened up and made me step away from the name, sigh).

Guys, please help me stop listening to Elvis Costello's "My Science Fiction Twin" over and over. Between the bassline and the switch into major key with the "and when he calls home with his alibis/the words flew from his mouth/etc." line in the verses and the clinky drumming in the bridge to the chorus... there's so much there to unpack. Time to listen to it over and over and over and...

I spent some of last week watching Generation Kill again. I definitely know how you feel with the whole 'song stuck in head' thing. I've had fucking Teenage Dirtbag stuck in my head as a result of one of the scenes in an episode, for a few days now.

This is more my type of music.
I listened to stuff like that about 15 years ago, but now it doesn't generally do much for me unless I'm in the right type of mood.
I do really enjoy things like this especially during my commute.
But I'm also really digging this new Eels track, too! Looking forward to the full album in April.
