Steam Buddies?

Is anyone playing Reign of Kings? I just got a copy of it and wanted some thoughts on it before I dipped into it for play and possible review.
-
Anyone playing The Secret World?
-
@Huzuruth I just bought this but I haven't had time to try it yet. Is it any good?

Re: TSW: No not really any more.
I mean, I think Town of Salem has a bigger continuous population than TSW does.
- Issue 8 and Scenarios and the grind burnt a lot of people.
- Then they finally put out Tokyo with only the story missions to do and made the side missions in separate behind a paywall mini issues. And also made it only available to people who had completed the full story mission. And the mobs are faster and hit harder in Tokyo.
- Then they added Aegis
- Then they added the new player experience, making things easier for everybody, including in Transylvania so now the gap From Transylvania is even larger, cause groups who have been raiding New York Together for two years and could 7 man it struggle to do it with even 10 people down. And fuck ever getting the achievement.
The community is horrible. No one tests on Testlive any more, except for the 5 people who shout the loudest and alienate everyone else. Of course that's who the devs listen to in regards to difficulty, so they have to put in a novice difficulty in scenarios so that the majority of players could even do them, because players could kill UR-Draug in 6 seconds on nightmare mode. But even though only the 1% of the 1% of the population can do it, it's got to be changed.
The community on Live is even worse with a quote from one of the moderators being: "This is a wonderful community and only comments that reflect that will be allowed to be posted!" (But they aren't heavy-handed or anything.)
Oh! And that fall of Tokyo thing they have going on? Buy all the issues up to and including one that isn't even out yet (April 2015, for realz) and it's just a money grab now, really.
Pretty much now it's just events with bags that people can buy, and collect all the things by standing in a cuddle-pile and idling in the middle of Agartha. With emotes, and close and achievements only tied to buying a bag, and opening it with enough people around.
Having said all that, it IS a good story, and all the various versions are on sale on Steam right now. If you don't go for any collector's editions or side stories, you can probably get it for fairly cheap right now. But play it as a single player game, not an MMO.
(No, not bitter at all, why do you ask?)
Also, anyone playing town of Salem, I'm Moiren on there if you want to add me to your friends list.

Aw man. I want people to get Table Top Simulator. I WANT TO GET IT. But I need people to play with.
-
Pretty sure that was just on sale this weekend. I was eyeballing it, anyway.
-
At the convention this weekend I got to play Artemis in a LAN setup with five touch screens. It was pretty boss. I am probably going to buy it for my computer and (if my iPad can run it) my iPad.

Rumor has it that Kerbal Space Program will be releasing the 1.0 (non-beta) next week. Naturally I'll be traveling and unable to partake from my escape pod of a work craptop.
-
@Thisnameistaken My first few hours have been fun, and the story really is as fantastic as @Insomnia said. It doesn't play that differently from most MMOs, but it's not so bad (at least for someone that doesn't play them that often). I started with the Dragon, and I kinda regret that decision. Just a bunch of bellends that remind me of 90s fiction a bit too much. They at least have good looking outfits. Anyway, will be starting as a Templar now because https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfkHkdu5IEI.

Nope, no PvP yet.

If only you had a MacBook Pro.

Well I know there is one floating around the local stolen items market.

Actually, I have a pile of them. They are utter shit. Better than being stuck on a windows craptop, but they are still shit.
Bad GPU on my main one. Known problem, and the cause of (yet another) class action lawsuit against apple. I've tried to take it in to the applestore for repair before, and shown them the kernel logs showing GPU restart and coredump errors. (Yes, it actually dumped a huge wad of crap into syslog). They didn't care. So we're happily joining the lawsuit.

@Huzuruth Psychotic joggers wearing neon. That's all I'm saying.

I finally bought Castle Crashers.
I enjoy this game for some reason.
People should play it with me.

Wait. What?

@Huzuruth and I have copies of Talisman: Digital Edition. If anyone else has it, and is interested in playing let me know. We played tonight and it was fun (if very long, and the game stole his win).
-
Is Talisman worth getting? I might pick it up if folks give it good reviews. Also looking at Small World.
-
I am still voting people get tabletop Simulator.
