An Apology to BSO and BSU.

I also think it's in bad form to take a private conversation over MSB chat and copy/paste it here without permission from the other side when it's done in an attempt to seemingly save face
In this case, @tek did reference the conversation before he shared it. I do, however, see your point.
-
@auspice Fair point, though that was "stop trying to PM me to manipulate and lie to me." That probably also should have been kept private.
-
@wolfs In his defense, I mentioned the PMs before he posted them, and I have zero issue with anyone seeing the content of those PMs. I have nothing to hide here. I have spoken to both of the individuals involved, with whom I am still friends, and I have confirmed that there was no issue back then, nor is there one now. He is fabricating the whole thing. He had no reason to start PMing me to try and emotionally manipulate me. I called him out on his bullshit. It wasn't the most civil thing to do, I will admit.

Okay. So, since I have history with this person, I feel like it's my responsibility to share it if only to keep people from falling for his line of horse shit:
I came to BSO first as Cassie, a pilot who wound up befriending/befriended by Zachary. I likewise struck up a friendship with his player. At first everything seemed pretty cool, we skyped (and too many lines were crossed that are best left unmentioned) and got to the point where he started to confide in me. At first it was his lamenting how the staffer who played his NPC wife wasn't playing her anymore and we both convinced her to let me play her instead. That was so wrong of us to do that and I know that in hindsight, but I wanted Zach's player to be happy as I want that for anyone I consider a friend. If I am remembering correctly, I was later told by someone - might've been her original player or maybe it was someone who was in the know, I do not remember now - that the reason his wife was no longer being played because he was harassing them OOCly.
Towards the end of my original stint on the mu*, Zach started to mention how he felt like staff hated him and they were conspiring against him, andhe was going to leave the game. He had me so turned around that I believed him despite having known Dropkick from RPing with him on Hestia and such and I left BSO to play on another game with him. Two or maybe three months passed before it came to light that he was OOCly harassing someone there, too. It was that time when I cut all ties with him and returned to Orion, tail tucked between my legs as I was truly afraid that no one would want me back after what happened. DK and everyone welcomed me back, thankfully and things went on.
So yeah. He's a manipulator. He's a liar (he had told me he was in the Army and was injured in the Middle East, something I doubted but never asked for proof of, as an example). He will play the victim to try and gain sympathy and support only to then turn into some psycho asshole . He is absolutely someone who needs to be avoided at all costs.

Yeah, he's pulled the "staff hates me" thing with me, too. I've tried to collect all of the conflicting tales he's told about his life. Here's a list so far:
- He's from England
- He's from Louisiana
- He's a widower
- His wife died in childbirth
- His wife died from cancer
- He's unmarried and lonely
- He has three daughters
- He has four daughters
- He has two daughters and a son
- His daughters are in their twenties
- His daughters are teenagers
- One of his daughters tried to commit suicide
- He's in a wheelchair
- He was in the military
- He's in his thirties
- He's in his fifties
What I don't get is that this is MU. You don't have to tell anyone anything about yourself. And if you're going to make up a story, at least stick with one.
-
Yeah, one story I heard directly from him was how he was an Army Vet who saw the breaking down of the Wall of Berlin and then got his legs blown off by an IED in Iraq.
The other story that I heard from others is that he has cancer, et cetera. I don't think either story is true, and maybe he needs sympathy to feed into some sort of complex.
Either way, I have seen him use that manipulative behavior on staff to make them feel as though some other player was giving him a hard time, because she refused to cross boundaries with him. It wasn't good to see a friend slandered like that and when I tried to talk to staff about it, it was too late; they sided with him.
He also has this nasty habit of leaving a game as a set of characters, then using a VPN and coming back as another set.
-
He told me that he was from Louisiana and was a divorced man who told me he had sole custody of his son. I think he did that to be more sympathetic to me, a married mother of two boys.
-
Yikes. I really only saw the tip of this iceberg.
-
The sad part is that he's a fantastic roleplayer. I actively miss scening with him. I just don't miss all the bullshit that came along with it. I hope he gets some help for his issues and becomes stronger and more stable and less bullshitty. If he came to me with an actual, earnest apology that acknowledged what he did and what he will do to prevent it happening again, I'd give him another chance.
Speaking of apologies, some of the best advice I was ever given is that a proper apology has those two parts: An acknowledgment of the wrong done and how one plans to prevent the wrong being repeated.
-
Does that shit work? Cause I’m actually Brad Pitts younger brother who was abandoned from the family because I was deemed not beautiful enough. It was ok though. I found a happy life until my wife was savagely murdered by a roving gang of post apocalyptic mutants while I travelled through Nebraska. Apparently Nebraska is in fact the same wasteland as the Road Warrior. My wife then gave birth to our son who was put in to the military four years later and then she got married and had three children. I love my daughter
Did I summarize this dudes life alright? I know quite a few people on this thread and was on several conversations about all of it. Between all of you who know who I am here. This is why I emphasize don’t trust online people. Assume everyone is a piece of shot and you won’t be disapppinted.
-
It works if someone is trusting and naive and inclined to believe something said is the truth until proven to be otherwise.
-
Did this guy play on RfK?
-
@caryatid He tends to haunt Lords and Ladies games and Battlestar MUSHes for the most part. I've never seen him on a WoD game.
-
@apu
Damn. You never fell for any of my bullshit. I suck
-
He was on The Reach. That was the mu* I went to with him when he rage quit BSO. Not sure about RfK, though.
-
Oh. I am sorry. I'll be sure to do so ASAP.

when I wouldn't do a Skype date with you.
wat
He found out I was in a poly marriage and asked if I would have a Skype date with him. I said no, as I'm not really interested in anything long-distance right now. This displeased him.
-
I don't think this went the way TC thought it would.
-
I am sorry, but man. Asking people on MU for like..an actual "date"?
That sounds creepy. IDK. Maybe I'm just not caught up to the way things are nowadays.
