I would recommend going for a Ling and a Bureau alt for maximum RP coverage and variety. The Lost are definitely the most active, but on the other hand the Bureau has its own thing going with all kinds of "bump in the night" little mini plots, it seems. I currently only play one Changeling, but I'm working on making my own Bureau alt too.
On the Changeling side of things, I know we are crying out for more research types. We have an ace of an investigator, good amount of muscle, good amount of social charisma types, but we are lacking in the brainy side of things. The recent metaplot has brought that into sharp contrast, as we have been mostly fumbling around blind.

I may actually ask people to pick one character and stick with it, and just grandfather in the very few people who have two characters already. We're a very small game, and if everyone's got an alt we're going to have plot-cross over that's going to be an issue.

I'm sorry to all the folks I let down.
I don't think anyone's let down. It was a way for people to revisit old characters and people got to do that. I didn't stick around because I didn't feel like I meshed well there, but those who did enjoyed themselves.
For what it's worth.
@cobaltasaurus Remember what I said when you first mentioned needing to end the game: we had all thought this was long since dead and gone. You brought it back and gave us several months worth of following up with old characters and their stories. More importantly for me personally, on an OOC level, you gave me the chance to reconnect with some amazing people that I'd lost touch with.
You didn't let me down. I mean of course we all would have liked to end the game with the big finale, but again: RL comes first. Your health and happiness and all that OOC stuff comes before any game.
If possible, can the wiki for the game stay up for a bit? I know of at least one player that had taken a vacation and hadn't come back yet before the closing was even discussed, and I am not sure they even know of MSB, so it would be nice to have a way for them to find this and maybe reconnect with the rest of us. Some players have moved on to other games, but there's a little group of us that are talking about going to the Miami reboot of Fallcoast when that happens.
@kay You are a doll, and a peach, and any game you go to next is lucky to have you. 
Seriously, the handful of you that was left at the end are some of the most supportive and nice people I've had the pleasure to ST for.
And yeah, the wiki will stay up until wikidot itself dies. So don't worry about that.
Bummed as I am at how things turned out, you've got nothing to apologize for.
Darkwater came back during what is, for me, the darkest part of the year. It gave me something pleasant and creative and social to do when I would have just been stewing. It put me back in touch with some wonderful people (you're one of them, for the record) and introduced me to some new ones. I'll be grateful for that forever.
I'm sad to see it go, but I understand, and I'm sorry I poofed off the way I did tonight.
I was thankful to have another little chance to play the game. I met some amazing new folks along the way, too! We are totally not let down, and you are amazing for having put so much time and effort into it. We appreciate what you did!

I am glad @Flitcraft that it got you in touch with some wonderful folks and that it did help you at a time you needed it. You are definitely one of my favorite people to GM for, and while I'm not really wanting to run up >my own ship< again, if I ever start GM'ing for someone else's game I hope you'll come around.
