Anyone Play/Played Here?

Maboroshi no Ginzuishou, aka The Silver Crystal aka Ginzi, was one of several featured in the actual series. The counter part to Ginzi was the Golden Crystal which was used by Mamoru, aka Tuxedo Kamen(Mask). On Magical Destiny we based the concept that each Court of Senshi had their own counterpart to the GInzi, however, none were as strong as Ginzi, as it was the Light of Hope for the universe; thus each crystal had a purpose. Kakyuu's crystal for example was the Burning Crystal, an homage to her name. Several of the OC Courts also had their own crystals. Some of which included the Voice of Laughter, held by a court solely of OC characters.

I can't imagine ever playing on a Sailor Moon-only game, even though I actually liked it (in the day). A game where Sailor-fu is part of the setting/theme, sure. But Scouts and only scouts? Too many other anime-y things I'd rather play with. Gimme a Fate Stay Night/etc themed game.

Pondering after @Seamus's words makes me think that it's possible each planet has their own crystal, hence the 'True Star Seeds' angle. I don't think it was ever explained WHY Sailor Moon's crystal was the strongest so we could say that all the OC lend her the strength of their crystals (it often said she took strength from them and especially Mamo) so the leaders who hold Crystals as strong/would be as strong lend their strength to Sailor Moon as well, thus making her eventually Sailor Cosmos, like the Manga hinted she was. The original Sailor Moon did not really touch on Cosmos if I recall correctly.
And to touch a little more on Mamo-Chan and the magical boys... Perhaps Mamo-Chan's Crystal works similar to Usagi's in the sense that HE is the one that gives them powers as Knights. Like Usagi faith is put in him to lead so his crystal is likely as strong as Usagi's. It's said, often, in the SM stuff that he takes power from her as much as he lends it. It just manifests differently.
Then there isn't a 'It just happens' explanation to why there are several male Mamo-chan types kicking around.
Heck.. we could even add a flavor that sometimes when the Star Seeds find their home they are corrupted by Chaos, which USagi made part of everyone. They aren't bad and work with the senshi but they are more anti-hero types. And it also leaves potential for Chaos to return.

@Tempest I don't know that Fate/Stay would be overly viable as a mu*. It'd probably work more as a mini-game or table top.

@Songtress
The idea of the Shiten'ou and Asteroid Quartet being teachers at the Academy is something that I like. You could spread it out to any older FC you wanted to have visibility for as like a guest teacher (Class, we have a special guest today. All the way from Alpha Cygni, the Soldier of Flames and Light, Sailor Coronis of Plant Coronis. She's here to talk about zero-g combat.).I had this thought typing that of of embassies and such to other planet that already have populations in Crystal Tokyo as well, and giving the concept to play like, a Coronis immigrant or a merchant from Mau or a courtier from Cocoon. I agree; my original statement of 'planetary people reincarnating on Earth' is weak, I admit; it seems that it happens in the show (like, all of the people from all of the planets in Sol that had populations would reincarnate on Earth, for example, due to Queen Serenity, but not elsewhere). The idea of awakening the Sailor Crystal/Star Seed to jumpstart the new planet (or reinforce a small-population planet that is still recovering after the Shadow Galactica War) holds a lot of cool ideas, and I like the cut of your jib there.
Other gems of power exist; Galaxia had the Saphir Crystal that was the source of her power, for example, and the Malefic Black Crystal grew on Nemesis, so there's precedent for there to be other gems of power out there (plus it gives easy McGuffin plots for people trying to help stabilize the galaxy), with the Silver Crystal as the strongest thing that came out of the Galaxy Cauldron.

You're probably right.
Slightly related to this topic, does anyone here actually play on MahouMush?
-
@Tempest IT would be cool though. It just seems like it would need wAY more finagling to make sense for a mu* and it would involve a lot of PK so it would be less fun for people who get attached to their chars. After all the main thing for the Fate/ series IS trying to take out others to get the Holy Grail before they can.

Thanks.I basically just don't like Neo Queen Serenity being able to 'hold this all powerful card' in the crystal. Its always irked me ( as both a fan of sailor moon and of magical girl in general). I'd like to think that the Crystal was powerful because its ruler and peoples hearts,vs it being the strongest thing out of the Galaxy Cauldron. Perhaps one of many 'very bright/strong' crystals or other things' but not the 'brightest' ( but that's personal opinion and head cannon territory.

@Songtress Except when I was really young I've always considered the Silver crystal to be so strong because of the people surrounding Sailor Moon. I don't think she'd be nearly as strong without Mamo-Chan and all the other Senshi supporting you. This seems confirmed to me when you look at the Silver Millennium. Queen Serenity used the crystal and died over reviving like everyone else does. This leads me to believe because Usagi has more support than her mother did she has grown considerably stronger. She has used the crystal, multiple times, to save the world and/or her friends but always revives.

Lets get rolling Last night was an interesting dicussion which I think we need to put together a list of all the 'game canon so far'. so we don't actually retread old ground.
-
@Songtress
I have last night's backlog in my MUSHclient window, so I can log it out and post it somewhere as well. -
So I was thinking:
We know we need Crystal Tokyo, ( let' base it off districts in REAL Tokyo ( come on we've gotta have Shibuya, and Shinjuku- I drew inspiration from this page: Shopping Districts of Tokyo which will give us some things to work with. I mean.. Crystal Tokyo has a fish market... and it should be amazing.
With the Senshi Academy some where,we'll need to make interesting ,maybe its a 'mini city in its own right?
-
@Songtress
The map and images of Crystal Tokyo that were posted on the game the other night give a lot of open ideas; the core of the city is the star and then it expands outwards from there (Crystal, for example, showed manmade islands in the bay). I'd think that the Senshi Academy would probably be part of the main crystal tower, below the main palace which sits at the peak.I'm going to be posting some stuff on the boards on the MU* tonight regarding systems and code stuff. @icanbeyourmuse said that she has a chunk of background written up for review, so I'm hoping she posts it somewhere like pastebin to read.
-
I will have to rewrite all of what I had done. My computer rebooted in the middle of the night and the document was not saved. Oi. And i dunno what pastebin is. I was just gonna post it on the board on the game.
-
Pastebin! Simply put its note pad online
-
Pastebin, AKA ghetto googledocs.

Why don't we just use Google docs?
