Based on @darksabrz remark and the place on @Sundown 's list I grabbed Brick and just finished watching it. It was real hard to remember that movie was using high school age kids for a noir. But it was very well done. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The music fit, the cast did a great job - fuck that was a great movie.

Yeah, Brick is just a damn good movie on any count. Although, I had to watch it with subtitles to pick up on all the jargon - which I don't mind, it was cool! The other films on my list, you can take or leave, it's personal preference. But Brick is just straight up good.

Well about half of the ones on your list I already have on DVD or have seen before. Brick was the stand out that I hadn't when I was checking at IMDB to get a sense of what I might like.

@Eerie made me watch Brick. So good.

@Miss-Demeanor I remember the book being mentioned in something ABC put together to hype up the release of Rose Red, but I didn't know they did another mini-series based upon it. I'm glad I have Rose Red on DVD (especially since Amazon's currently charging $73 for a DVD copy), so I'll have to check out The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer.

It wasn't another miniseries, this one was an actual movie. 🙂
Its going for $10 on Amazon atm.

@Miss-Demeanor Just checked. Problem with that $10 offer is that they're temporarily out of stock. I can, however, get it for about $20 and get two-day shipping, which will be perfect: I was already planning to watch Rose Red Halloween night, so doubling up with it and The Diary of Ellen Rimbauer will be even more fun.

Edit: Still wish Rose Red had been written as a novel.

Perfect! I'll be doing my usual run of Nightmare on Elm Street movies on Halloween. XD
