Starcraft II has apparently gone free-to-play now? The original campaign, multiplayer, and stuff and things have been unlocked.
Never really been into Starcraft, but I'm going to give this a whirl.
-
@faceless Yeah. They gave one of the expansions to people who already owned Wings of Liberty, for free. I think I would have preferred my money back on the CE I purchased.
-
@jaded That's kinda neat for me. I really suck for SC2 multiplayer but I did enjoy the campaigns. I think I had stopped playing at the first expansion.
-
@arkandel
Well if you purchased the game before October 31, 2017, then log into your Battle.net account before December 8 to get Heart of the Swarm for free. That's the second expansion to the game. -
@jaded I will do, thanks for the heads up.
As a minor correction, it's apparently the desktop version of battle.net that lets you do this (which I can't check until I'm home):
"For a limited time, players who already own Wings of Liberty (as of October 31, 2017) but have not yet purchased Heart of the Swarm will be able to get the latter campaign free by logging in to the Blizzard Battle.net desktop app and claiming their free Heart of the Swarm gift between November 8 and December 8, 2017."

More specifically once you log in. Go to the upper right where your name is and click on the drop down and click My Gifts and you should get a new screen that displays Heart of the Swarm and you just click the Claim button.
-
@jaded Shit, I think I have Heart of the Swarm... and I forgot I had it so I never played it.
#firstworldproblem of the day.
-
I have both wings of liberty and heart of the swarm. I want the newest expansion free!
-
Yeah, the third one will still cost money.
Also Killer is Dead : Nightmare Edition is free on Humble Bundle for the next 48 hours.
-
Endless Space 2 is having a free weekend on Steam and is 50% off. That gives it a price tag of $20 for the game making it well worth it if you like 4x space games.
Also, Star Control: Origins, the new Star Control game is up for pre-order. I did not get a review copy so I can not say one way or another how the game turned out. But like all pre-orders, buyer beware.
-
Brutal Legend is free on Humble Store for the next 48 hours.
-
MDK is free on GoG for the next 48 hours.
-
@jaded I hope they fixed the save problem! I love the dev's for Endless Space, but nothing worse than losing hours of gameplay from a save glitch.
-
Goddammit Steam Sale.
"9 of your Wish List items are on sale."
sob
-
@thenomain Same, but also GoG and Humble Store. Especially GoG though.
-
@thenomain I got an email today. 17 items on your wishlist are on sale.
...shit

Ffffffffff.
But I did finally get L.A.Noire again. I've been jonesin' to play that for frickin' months now and seeing the whole deal for $8? Yasssss.
Didn't even look at anything else. I ain't got time for games. Hell, I don't even have my PC setup right now (I haven't been able to afford a desk). But as soon as I have a desk? I will have me some L.A. Noire.
-
@auspice Maaaaaaaaaaaaan... I want that game so bad. But I be a broke bitch til the 1st. XD
