Scan Your Books For Profit?

... and entirely legally since it's the copyright holder who wants you to. This is just weird.
-
This is disappointing. I have a lot of books on PDF on the bounty list, but none of my PDFs have scans of the book spines.
-
People actually scan the spine of D&D books??
-
Not that I have ever known. I think they make that a requirement to prove you own the book..
Also, some of the books they want don't have spines. Like the modules and adventures - they're just folded books with staples. Their FAQ doesn't address that.
-
Scan the staples.
I'm only being halfway sarcastic there, as the scanner will catch a little bit of the front and back, and if Hasbro-WotC doesn't accept it then they will be taught a valuable lesson.
