When someone reaches out with something cool, that your character happens to know a lot about and you get a chance to he helpful and feel a bit cool yourself for doing that. It feels like all that time spent digging into something is worth it when being able to share and help someone else move their story forward.

When you try to get back into playing after having a really rough time of it with pandemic/2020/writers block whatever, and people who you haven't rp'd with in ages or haven't rp'd with ever at all are reaching out to YOU wanting to have scenes, and reassuring you that you are a part of the community and belong and sometimes even fun!
It's still hard to internalize with the writers block/constant low level dread thing, but it helps!

Share your secrets with me, wise one. I've felt like a non-entity forever, now. Some of that is burnout and frustration, but I would be lying if the burnout and frustrations weren't tied into perceived reactions/non-reactions from other people. Y'know, that lovely old feedback loop.

Find people who you are comfortable admitting that you are struggling to, who might also be struggling and thus super forgiving and wanting to help. Then they will forgive you if you have to suddenly bail because you forgot how to write.
Or find brand new people. The struggle is real, lots of people share it, and I think some of them are finding each other and it's great.

When the news come up with something like this:
And a handful of different people independently send it to me, telling me this is so much about my character, and I have make it happen.
It's happening.

@L-B-Heuschkel Man, I'm really surprised those things are still around. I remember news articles about them several years ago that noted that - being clones - they're super vulnerable to disease/parasites, and would likely to be wiped out as soon as something hit the population.
On the other hand, I suppose it's nice that SOMETHING is thriving in 2020, even if it is an invasive army of crawfish clones.

I hope someone is similarly inspired by any and all articles about Florida Man because that's a character we need. And a Tiger King.

I'm a sentimental dork who is spoiled by awesome people. I'll just leave it at that.

When a conversation comes up in an OOC room, and it's enlightening and everyone's just vibing. It's a great moment.
-
A game full of just really lovely people that make running scenes a complete joy.
-
That is all.
-
@Roz she's pretty dope.

I appreciate many things about Ares but the ability to: spill beer on my modem / panic and restart/unplug everything / pose on my phone without missing a beat as things restart, is a treasure.

Friends you can RP IC friendship with, those are alright I guess.
But friends you can RP bitter rivalries, skullduggery, unexpected twists and sporting conflict with?
(It's no wonder I'm playing so much Among Us.)
-
@Kestrel Oh it's so good.
