Could I have the ship Inara stole from me out of jealousy back?

I know this is a double-post, but seriously, if you don't use eBates? YOU SHOULD.
Honey is another one you should check out. With their extension, as soon as you load the site it'll begin checking for discounts, discount codes, etc. It's great if you're forgetful and all.
It'll also keep running on the site and be like 'oh hey this is the cheapest this item has been on Amazon in the past 60 days' or if you load in your Amazon wishlists, it'll email you when an item is at its cheapest. Like 'hey dawg, that keyboard you've been wanting? It's totes on sale rn.'
One of my coworkers is gay. He's not openly-out-of-the-closet-gay, but it's pretty damn obvious.
He refers to his ex as his 'partner' (or did when they were still together). Now it's just 'ex' or 'ex-partner' but every so often it's been he/him, but it's just slipped in there very casual in a blink-and-you-miss-it sort of way. Even so, it's there if you actually, y'know, fucking pay attention and are a halfway decent listener.
Wednesday, he was talking about going to Thanksgiving with a friend (he has no family in town) and the boss immediately goes: 'Ohhh, is she preeeeeetty?' and the coworker quickly goes: 'No, but he does call himself Princess.'
Which might just be the most glaring hint I've ever heard.
And yet, just now, I overhear: 'So, did you reply to that email from your ex-girlfriend yet?
I wanna bash my forehead into the desk.
Like, since he's never come out to the office (and it's always just been sort of subtle), I don't feel it's my place to take anyone aside or say anything to HR, but it has started to kind of bother me and as such I can't even begin to imagine how it must be for him.

But did they have a wave of amputee apps and had to be like. STOP. All limbs now.
Yes.
So I have been, intermittently (when they schedule events I can actually make) attending events with a local 'lady geeks' group here. Mostly tabletop gaming, but they also have a knitting group once a month. And I'm gonna try to go to their book club this coming Saturday morning (which means I've been rushing through this month's book this week).
Most events are weekday evenings, so I can't attend, but at least their Discord is active!
But today I was introducing the tabletop gaming Discord channel to the Legacy games (like Pandemic Legacy) and I brought up Betrayal Legacy and my avid desire to play it someday. A few ladies mentioned they'd be interested and very okay with scheduling a monthly weekend night to play.
So! I'm gonna hooooopefully be able to set aside enough to purchase a copy during my mid-month paycheck in December.

Unless it's an offensive racial stereotype or something
Gonna point out that people being insensitive about mental health/disabilities falls into the 'or something' here IMO. And I think Lotherio is sort of referencing that. In his mind, people playing PTSD (a serious condition) as a 'cool stereotype' is being insensitive about a serious mental health issue.
And I can wholly understand that.
Different things work for different people. Most anti-depressants are useless if not outright bad for me. Like Effexor? It gave me mild seizures and coming off of it, I had to be under very, very close observation, get MRIs regularly, etc... after one doctor kept raising the doses and telling me 'just keep watching it, it'll go away and you'll get better, promise!'
The new doctor who took me off of it was very unimpressed, let me tell you.
Prozac or zoloft gave me paranoid delusions.
Like, some meds have horrid side-effects. Some work great! The one that worked THE BEST was ascendin. But it's no longer used in the US. Wellbutrin is the best since. But yeah, it's def. not for everyone 'cause everyone is different!

very little question or input from the policy-maker's point of view.
Which makes it all the more damning!

I was coming to post this and to share Obama's statement, which I felt was very well-done.
@Snackness said in If you work hard, son, maybe someday you'll RP:
I was pretty bummed to realize elsethread how many people hate scheduling. Itโs an extremely rare case in which I can just do pickup rp. I donโt like it either, but itโs kind of schedule or nothing for me at this point.
I am happy to schedule and in fact, I do sometimes put in my +finger notes (if games have them) that people can contact me to schedule. So if we ever run into each other on a game you can schedule with me.

Most doctors or PAs won't prescribe a good scotch or bourbon.
As a Juris Doctor, I can endorse this method of medication.
And Iโm as healthy as a drunk horse.

I am so sorry. That's rough in so many ways. I've been there, it sucks.

In other news, anyone following along with me at home, they just found my kidney stone.
The one I have been literally begging them to take care of for a year that they told me didn't exist.
It's 3mm.
That's like the saga of my gallbladder. "Oh it's just stomach ache." aka"gosh women and their whining"
Years later: oh hey your gallbladder is trying to kill you.
Glad they found it even if it took them way too damn long!
This is why the doctors that go "you know your body because it's yours" are goddamn diamonds (I miss the one I had in Ohio).
So, I wanted to share these guys: http://apocalypticbeautycosmetics.com
Can't recall if they were mentioned previously! Vegan/cruelty-free. Prices look p. good! And uh, just check out the COLORS on these lipsticks??? http://apocalypticbeautycosmetics.com/lip-products/liquid-lipsticks/
Anyway, sometime in the next few months I'm hoping to have the money to spare for http://apocalypticbeautycosmetics.com/apocalyptic-starter-kit-cosmetics-sampler-box/ to try them out.
