Srsly. Sexy cake. Even got a stellar 'crack' in it (important for a Madeira). It was delicious, too. The oranges I got were more sweet than acidic, so I was a bit worried about the flavor coming through but oh man did it.

About a decade ago, I got a pair of Gap jeans free. Size 16 bastards. They've never fit but they've been my goal because they're soft. And they were a reasonable goal.

I was a size 10/12 when I was 17-20. I can get back there, right? Come on, self!

Once or twice I got them but they just weren't "could wear through the course of a day" wearable. I can't have pressure on my abdomen or I get ill. So there's gotta be some give which means jeans are sometimes a size too large for me to wear them (in certain brands).

The past few weeks I've been in this spiral of feeling like all the weight I'd list in the months before was back on and then some. I'd look in the mirror and feel convinced my face was fat and hideous and no it didn't matter if my clothes fit the same. I must have stretched them. Look at how ugly and splotchy and fat my face was.

Today my 'usual' jeans kept falling off me in the morning. To where I couldn't deny it. I tried the Gap jeans. They fit to the point of being comfortable. For the first time ever.

I'm still struggling to look at my face and not think how uglyfatgross I am, but I also feel this major victory to finally fit my Goal Jeans because it means I didn't gain all the weight back and even lost more. Maybe it's just allergies making my face swell because I have been fighting those for the past couple months.

...lol it has a line limit.

I have absolutely seen this before. Personally I've seen it more between hetero couples on games than gay couples.

If people want to do legwork, research, etc... I will gladly do so. But in recent plots I have run... I think I have had maybe two people, in the past six months (and a handful of plot threads, scenes, etc.) actually do so. Everyone else has just wandered off and never said a peep.

I'm not going to drag and wheedle and beg people who show zero interest in doing anything else. I'm not going to go through the rigamarole of scheduling (we've had rants on how hard it is to schedule multiple people!) just to sit down and hang out to chat.

If someone wants to do this, they can reach out. I will make myself available to join in, but if a player wants to do legwork? Wants to research? Wants to brainstorm? They should indicate wanting to do so. I am not going to drag people along who show zero interest in wanting to do so.

And I have never seen anyone indicate an interest in wanting a special +event just to kick up their feet and brainstorm for a few hours. There's a reason downtime actions have always been submitted to STs outside of TT/LARP sessions. People generally don't want to waste RP time on going back and forth over 'But I wanna do X' 'Well I wanna do Y' 'Well I wanna do Z' - if you enjoy that, kudos, but most people don't. They want action, not sitting around dithering over what to do.

It's why the best scenes start in media res. Want better than +mail? Start a gdoc or similar. Use a talk page on a wiki. I'm trying a new thing where I keep all relevant logs in one place and I keep a running summary (like a short story) of the plot so far, to keep people up to date.

But sure, +actions/+request/+whatever people could submit to me as an ST? That'd be great. But I have yet to be on a MU* (except maybe one; I think BiTN had a system for it) with them without being CC'd onto a +request that also clogs up Staff jobs, sadly.

That's why I chose Abilene. I knew if I didn't set the goal beforehand, I'd risk only driving a short ways today and leaving the long day for tomorrow and I didn't want that.

The hotel to apartment tomorrow is only 3.5 hours. Should be easy.

It super sucks to get shit on from both sides, as it were. Straight people give you shit because you're 'selfish' or 'you're just a cheater!' and the gay community gives you shit because you're gross for sometimes being in hetero relationships or because you can 'pass.'

Mostly I'm just thrilled to be able to get sweet tea again. Esp. since I no longer drink soda anymore. That was a big struggle on the drive. You do a long drive, you eat fast food. Fast food places largely just have soda.

ANYWAY. Yes! I am settled. Much much thanks to @Admiral and his roommate for helping unload. After loading the truck and driving all those days, I was still pretty noodly. Plus, because of them, we got it done pretty much just as it began raining.

I sometimes multi-scene. Depends on what the primary scene is. Is it 3+ people? If so, I prob ain't gonna multi. Is it a one-on-one and the other person is taking 20+ minutes to pose?

...sorry chief I'm prob gonna multi-scene or watch Netflix between poses cause otherwise you are risking me wandering afk and forgetting we were RPing in the first place.
