Good paralegals are worth their weight in gold for so many reasons, JFC.

I mean, granted, I didn't find explicitly what I was looking for. But I did find the part where it says 'this is not an exhaustive list' and 'agencies can make judgment calls about material they think should be non-disclosable if they are willing to back it up in court, when necessary'.

But more importantly, I found the part where it says 'the penalty for this is a stern reprimand from the public access counselor and a directive to send unredacted information'.

So there is literally no penalty for playing it safe, other than 'someone else tells us we have to do it which then means that it is not our problem as far as liability goes when someone misuses this information'.

And I dare any judge on the planet to tell us that we have to leave that material unredacted.

Having to read, in detail, 77 pages of the Public Access Counselor's manual.

      Why?

So that I can prove that no, we do not have to leave birth certificates and driver's licenses unredacted in a public records request.

You would think this would be common sense

      It is not.

You would also think the legislature would have included these things in public access exceptions explicitly.

      They did not.

Appreciate your paralegals, people. We are the thin line between your private information and the people who insist they are entitled to it under FOIA, because nervous attorneys who take a too-literal reading of statute lists won't help you.

Speaking of, I finally had a chance to play it last weekend. OMG that was a blast to play. I was >< close to hibernating and completing my goal when the freaking Queen came out to say hi.

      Wait, what game is this?

@Derp I hear ya. It's weird. There's definitely a culture of shame surrounding glancing and comparing. It's a thing and everyone knows that it happens, but like a lot of things it has this weird spooky shame factor. At the urinal it's kind of weird though because it's an awkward state of things.

I've been having a lot of conversations with my SO lately about things like that. Generally speaking, she likes to point out how a lot of girls are more comfortable touching each other than men are (braiding hair, sleep overs, sharing beds, etc), and so many men are weird about even SITTING next to each other.

I think there's a whole metric ton of psychology and philosophy piled into why that is, and I have my own take on it that is probably far better discussed over coffee than on MSB.

I would legit meet you for coffee to discuss, lol. If you're ever in my part of the country drop me a line.

but they're probably looking at your penis because they could have said that from the urinal on the far side.

Since this is a sexuality thread, and we are having a pretty open discussion...

Like... I think I may be the only man I know that just doesn't mind people looking at my dick. I mean, I'm not anything special, really. Never really had a complex about it. I've caught people staring, and they're all 'sorry' and do that 'look away in shame' thing.

Guys check each other's junk out all the time. All the time. I don't care what your sexuality is, it's reflex. Junk comes out, eyes go there.

But we have somehow not yet normalized this behavior, and an entire culture of shame exists around it.

      What the fuck?

I mean, if you're worried about things looking good and staying in place, I recommend a style more like this:

      https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H2XRTDS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A1B192TXEW4HD&psc=1

Everything has a specific, designated place and they're unbelievably comfortable, despite initial appearances.

Get to work today, at the government capitol building, and the first thing I saw was an e-mail informing us that the HVAC system would be running in emergency mode.

Emergency mode? The fuck does that even mean? And why would you put anything related to 'emergency mode' in an all staff email at the state house? You couldn't have chosen a different phrase?

Edit because apparently my phone does not know capitol, only capital and Capitol. Weird.

@ghost I was at the grocery store and got some sort of "Caliente" lays layered chips(like Pringles). I was like, "How hot could they be?" I have never had a spicier chip in my life. Granted, I haven't really done spicy food since I was a teenager but still...Jesus Christ.

What were these? I need these in my life.

And can we fast-track it to 5th Edition so that we have at least three game lines that "5E" could refer to?

If it's as hated as DnD 4e I could see this happening quickly.

    • RE: X-Card Code Idea

I mean, this wouldn't be terrible hard to do. You'd basically just need something like:

&c.x_card <some object>=$+xcard *:@remit [loc(%#)]=The xcard has been pressed. Please roll back pose or future mentions of %0.

Now, that said, I think if it's anonymous (which this system should make it, since the emit is coming from an object presumably in the master room), that the other players have a chance to say 'Yeah, cool' or 'No, that's not reasonable.'

I injured my foot at the beginning of May. It is now July. And while I can put weight on it again just fine, it still hurts. Tonight, it hurts badly enough that I cannot sleep.

      This is irritating me.

This is also why I'm posting at 3:30am.

This is my life. When I was younger, I was very, very active. Runner, martial artist. Anything I could do. Was out running one day and got this sharp pain in my foot. Went to the doc. Doc says tendinitis. Foot still hurt a month later. Doc says tendinitis. Kept hurting, but less, until I finally just got used to the pain.

In my twenties someone finally did an x-ray and turns out, I had damaged my cuboid, and it had gone untreated for so long it deformed.

      Fun times!
