Excellent choice! We are flexible on whatever you want to do with her, but we did default Tasmia into a special role for game start, as assistant dean (the Scary One) at Legion Academy since we needed to build up some story, but again, the person playing the character gets to do as they wist.
Edit to add: Just log in as a guest whenever and prod Mandala (that's me) or or Ikaros and we'll make you a bit, since we don't have that open yet.
Ooh, don't worry. I'll just choose another heroine, I'm not picky. I also don't mind playing along with whatever plans you had for her. I like having a set objective to work towards. All you have to do is brief me on what I should do.

It depends what you're looking for. The Legion has a lot of great ladies, but they may not be readily apparent. If you want to app a Legionnaire, my advice is to go here:

And see if anyone jumps out and bites you.
If you have another DC FC in mind... well, tell me a story!
Edit: My apologies, this specifically is where you'd want to start:

Thank you very much!

OCs-OK! Generally our policy is that we encourage OC appers to start them as members of Legion Academy, which is basically... Super-Hero College for lack of a better term.
The Legion Era is a thousand years in the future, however there are a surprising number of DC FCs who could still be kicking around, Power Girl (being a Kryptonian) being potentially one of them. As for the others, my general policy is to say "well, tell me a story" before I say "no."
I like this! Also, I was just using Power Girl as an example. I don't think I've got the chops to play her accurately to the books, since I only have superficial working knowledge.
What character would you recommend I start out with, personally?

RE: Legion World MUX Alpha
How does this work? Can I be a custom Superheroine? Or can I be Power Girl?

@cobaltasaurus
. check. I hate making alt, actually. 16 years ago I thought it was fun, now it's just a headache. -

@selu Another player chiming in - welcome aboard! I would recommend going for a Ling and a Bureau alt for maximum RP coverage and variety. The Lost are definitely the most active, but on the other hand the Bureau has its own thing going with all kinds of "bump in the night" little mini plots, it seems. I currently only play one Changeling, but I'm working on making my own Bureau alt too.
On the Changeling side of things, I know we are crying out for more research types. We have an ace of an investigator, good amount of muscle, good amount of social charisma types, but we are lacking in the brainy side of things. The recent metaplot has brought that into sharp contrast, as we have been mostly fumbling around blind.
I think I have you covered. I'm gonna make a clever scientist or strategist. I love those roles.
Thank you for welcoming me! Hope to meet up with you soon.

I'm in!
I have to do some chores and shopping now but I will log into this game tonight.
I am super excited.

@cobaltasaurus
Neato potato!
I don't mind that the game is small, either. I'd get anxiety on a large one that has too much stuff going on. This game sounds great for me.
So should I be a Ling or a Mortal? Which side has a surplus?
Heck, if you let me I'll do two characters - one of each.

RE: Darkwater: The Return
@cobaltasaurus
I've got a lot going on in my life right now - classes, a job, caregiving, moving house, and being prepped for various surgeries, so I might have to just do one paragraph.
I might surprise you and do two or three, once I've had my morning Adderall and feel like writing an entire book off the top of my head.
What sort of characters do you badly need right now? I don't want to add to a surplus - do you need more Mortals, Vampires, or what?

RE: Darkwater: The Return
How hard is it to make a character in this game? Does it rquire lots of emotional labor and vetting and whatnot?
I'm obviously not going to make a purple dragoness that blows steam, so. I intend to stay within the boundaries. If I have to be interviewed and such before playing, though, issa no.

I certainly can't go to sphere meetings, which is the closest thing I can imagine being a forced scene, without considering a good stiff drink to prepare me for all the player-drama.
Xanax is a godsend for this shit.
-
RE: World of Darkness -- Alternative Settings
Right?
I actually have anxiety attacks about making characters on new games now because of that.
All I can think is "How are people going to be Shitty to me on this game?"
Then I gotta reach for a xanax because I feel like I will physically die if I log on and make a character.
I used to love mu*ing, too. It was one of my greatest pleasures. I want to get into it so badly again.
But then I get war-veteran style flash backs of what I went through seventeen years ago and I get the shakes and the sweats and heart palpitations.
I want to have fun MU*ing again, but I automatically start going "oh god no no no I can't do this oh fuck this is bad I'm gonna panic" and I just log off.
I play on Shang and that is all I can handle, because it isn't difficult and emotionally labor-intensive to make a character on, and even that is too much for me sometimes.
I play for a day or two and then spend a week or two recovering.

RE: World of Darkness -- Alternative Settings
On the other hand, why should we be forced to play games wirh abusive people in them because that was how we did it decades ago?
Times change. People no longer want or need to deal with that.
This kind of archaic thinking is why MU*ing is fading into the darkest reaches of ancient history.
Evolve or die.

@selu Anything that requires actual research is going to be a hard sell to many.
That's true, but two of those concepts are very basic.
The Stone Age game set in the Cradle of Humanity would be pretty lit and easy to play. You are a Black person who lives in a tribe and are enjoying yourself until these strange human-shaped Killer Vampires appear.
It should be a game where you get killed a lot, just like the real Stone Age. There would be lots of fun things to do, like group hunts or exploration.
Egypt is self-explanatory. Most people are familiar with that stuff. Mummies and pharaohs and Egyptian Princesses.

RE: World of Darkness -- Alternative Settings
Has anyone suggested the Paleolithic Age in Sub-Saharan Africa as a setting, yet? Like Far Cry: Primal?
Middle KIngdom Egypt? That was done in Assassin's Creed.
Mali Empire-era Timbuktu? The Achaemanid Empire? Jerusalem during the Israeli United Monarchy?
