RL things I love

Drinking Stella Artois after putting my deck in the backyard. And getting started on Mantel's Bring up the Bodies
If you like straight razors, check out Badgerandblade.com. Great bunch of guys over there and if you like luxury shaving items, that is the place to go. Geo F. Trumper Rose shaving cream FTW.

@BigDaddyAmin Oh I sharpen my own with an oil stone and a 4000 grit/8000 grit water stone, complete with bowl and boar bristle brush and soap cakes.
I am the kind of guy who wants to drive a standard transmission, knows how to use a topographical map and a compass, sharpens his own knives, and calls strangers "sir" and "ma'am" without irony. Straight razors just kind of fit right in with my style.
-
I'm not really into the full straight razor as a casual thing - honestly I'd just slit my own throat - but I do recommend switching from plastic razors to a metal safety razor. The learning curve's not high, and the shave is both much faster and amazing.
-
Sir and ma'am are just what you do here. It's the rules.
I love when boys basically talk like girls do about sephora. Also I love that we girls are smart enough to do waxing and lasers. Hooray for longer lasting hair removal!

My shiny new bicycle and its sleepless, savage guardian - MSB, meet Daphne.
-
Hello Daphne. @Arkandel, I find myself coveting your broom. I dunno why.
-
Bikinis. Omg I love them. They're amazing. And then to go with that, rash guards, because I'm still to fat for said bikinis and I'm way too pale to be in the sun. Love summer, love the pool!
My hair could post on peeves that it hates chlorine though. Haha.
-
Yeah. We can squeal over accessories too.
I shave with a Gillette FatBoy. I'm not too big on straight razors. Back when I was in graduate school in Boston though I'd get my hair cut at this little place in Jamaica Plain owned by Shiíte Syrians. I'd go in there, practice my Arabic, they would shave me with a straight razor then finish it up with a splash of cold rose water. Drink cardamom coffee while you wait. That was a nice place. Now where I live the closest I can get to that is SportsClips. I hate sports but I don't mind paying the $25 dollars to have a woman massage my head with tea tree oil shampoo.
-
@BigDaddyAmin It's more about the decadence of spoiling yourself a little. And it's totally cool if it's not everybody's thing.
-
I'm not sure how slicing major chunks of skin off my face daily is "spoiling myself a little", mind, but hey, different strokes.
-
@WTFE
Yeah. Straight razors I can't really work with.On the note of pampering? A simple automated warming foot massager tub, with vibrating places to stick your feet. After the long LARP day yesterday (three new players, one a long-time LARPer that I am glad has joined us), my feet needed some TLC.
-
For me "pampering" is "not being forced into a self-criticism by the Party cadres today".
-
People who stick with you when you're going through bad, bad times. Those people are the best.
-
I love a good pedi, which I'm essentially just paying someone to rub my feet because yay human contact. I don't date and I don't have a whatever so rub my feet and I'll give you money. Added bonus is that when they paint my toenails it lasts for ages. I have the same damn polish. It's Vietnamese magic.

@Arkandel Where is the Copenhagen wheel?

You do not "Make My City Flat".
