World of Warcraft: Legion

I love my Dalaran Hearthstone so much!

So far (and I realize it's only just the beginning with no idea of the end-game) Legion is fantastic.
The things I've enjoyed the most:
-
Classes are finally distinct. Each has a massive, different quest chain for their artifact weapon and class hall, with their own ways of fighting the incoming invasion; on my Druid (no spoilers) I've gained access to some pretty nifty areas, interacted with major characters from Warcraft's lore and certain NPCs greet my accomplished character with custom emotes. It's really great.
-
Phasing is yielding fruit big time; gone are the days of 60 people on their mounts sitting on the quest givers while you were trying to click on that one pixel to get out of there, and yet you still actually see people around in the world doing things, as opposed to being locked up in your Garrison all on your lonesome.
-
Some of the new zones are freakin' gorgeous too. The game's engine might be old now but they've really mastered it and it shows.
I did four 5-man runs yesterday (I got really sleepy by the end or I'd have done more). They seem pretty undertuned as most encounters are very forgiving to people standing in fires or whatever but maybe that's also due to everyone's gear - people play their mains on day 1 - being far superior to what Blizzard expects fresh 100s to be in the normal leveling process. The drops are pretty subpar, 685-700, so it looks like 104-105 is when we'll start actually switching from WoD to Legion-acquired stuff.
Oh, and I gotta figure out how to fit in my artifact weapon to the healing rotation. Btw resto druids can level just fine without switching talents, as long as they have Balance affinity picked up, but I don't know if all healing specs can do the same.

I just got the second artifact weapon for DH. Started with the DPS spec and picked up the tank weapon about 45 minutes ago. That one I'm going to put into the bank for now and will work on leveling it up later.
As for my impression on Legion, I feel it is a MASSIVE step in the right direction after the disappointment that was Warlords of Draenor. They kept some of what I enjoyed, like the missions and followers, but surpassed the mistakes by miles. Quests and such are fun again and the dungeon I did last night... yes, it was easy but not so easy that I felt like Blizzard was trying to coddle us and hold our hands and make things too easy. I am looking forward to seeing what is in store for me as I continue to level.

@Apu The one thing I don't like so far is that the way artifacts work makes it very tricky to have a well geared second spec let alone alts. Although trivial investments (up to rank 12ish) in the weapon is pretty cheap, doing it any more than has a huge impact on the main spec's progression, and having alts keep up would be a pretty time consuming endeavor.
But that won't keep me from leveling up a paladin at least to see their quests - and I mean, Ashbringer, man!

That's unfortunately what happens when you have a certain amount of points to spread between several items. One/several of whatever it is will always wind up lacking, for the lack of a better way to put it.
-
@Apu True, but in this case it's permanent. They could have allowed a transfer between the same character's different artifacts, for instance.
It's a design choice though, so... so be it.
-
If there's anything Blizzard is good at it's listening to the players so maybe that might change if enough people suggest it.
-
@Apu The other thing I love about Legion is the new mob/object tagging rules - it made things so much smoother. Are you in a world quest and someone is fighting a mob? I can help them and we both get credit without being in the same group. Easy and logical and it works, plus I'm told (but haven't tested it) it works for herb/mining nodes as well, there's a grace period of a few seconds before they disappear for everyone else after someone picks them up.
Ah, but the dungeons... I was laughing my ass off on launch night when my wife, tanking and unused to random groups, was raging about players. "What is he DOING why ...no NO NO, why did you pull that? Argh, he's gonna pull the patrol, WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS".
Also, a zillion Demon Hunters in every group, usually tanking without knowing the class yet (which is justified, it's brand new), which means sometimes I'm bored since the tank practically heals themselves and sometimes I can't stack enough HoTs on them.

And here I am just leveling skinning and mining before wandering off to the new content. >_>
-
But the new content has fast/er skinning and mining upgrades.

even from zero?

I am not sure about 0, but 1.

30 min queue!

Earlier it was 95 minutes.

I can't get it to work, it's just a neverending loop of logging in and allowing it with the authenticator. Maybe because the authenticator is the same tablet? I dunno.
