This is the second MU I have played on and the first one was already dying when I got there so really this might as well be the first. Arx has actually been a very welcoming enviroment with as few OOC Dramas as I could hope for when so many people are in one place. The staff has been very kind and accommodating as have most of the players been. I don't think people should refuse to give the game a try based on who else is there because it is a very big game and you can just avoid those players you don't want to play with. There is more than enough game space to do that. If the email address problem is really an issue you can easily create an email specifically for your Arx experience. It takes 10 minutes and you could get a good RP experience out of it for your effort.

So thank you Arx Staff and Players for being fricken awesome to me. I have really appreciated it!

Those of you considering Arx as a new RP home... You are a smart and amazing person and very much capable of coming to your own conclusions but I do hope that my review of Arx helps and that you give the game fair consideration.

I would be very pleased by that! I am so very lost and confused trying to follow through comments and tutorials.

Okay, I get to the SSH step using both kiTTY or puTTY and I can't get passed that. As it was a suggested step I tried to skip it and just log in(on the droplet console) with root and the password given in my email and it keeps telling me the password is wrong. Given... I can't even see myself typing the password in so I'm not certain I'm even typing.

Update: I had droplet send me a new password and I was able to create a new password with that. Now I'm trying to do the mysql_secure_installation to run and I'm not sure I'm doing that right. You enter this at the root@play:~# or what do I do there? Because I enter it in and then type my password and I get "Error: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) This occurs even when I use the password mysql as suggested by @skew.

Likewise, changing the password helped me get into puTTY.

My request is pretty simple. I want to mess around with MU Creation so I can get my feet a little wet in that department. I cannot find a step-by-step tutorial on how to download and install the files that speaks in simple English. >.> By that I mean, I'm not super trained with computers and I need a someone to walk me through it.

Creation of a youtube video on a Windows computer would be super handy if anyone is up for the task. If not I'd love additional assistance in other formats as well.
