@cobaltasaurus Superhero is darker without being DARK DARK, if that helps?
-
Nope, sorry, going back to default. The 'Slick' theme kills the editor options, which is where stuff like the poll, gif button, spoiler button, link, image etc. buttons are. And I'm sure none of us remember all the formatting by hand all the time.
I'll see if I can find more skins for the themes, but until then, I'm not sure if I have many other options for the too light / too dark problem.
-
Flatly skin here. As someone with bad eyes, the fact that the quoted text and the actual text are different sizes (and that the actual text has me punching the zoom up to 125 to make it legible) is painful. Not sure if that's a skin issue or something in the base CSS, but it'd be great if that were fixed.
-
@roz I find it hard to read because of the color choices.

Yeah, chances of us 'fixing' skin issues is slim to none. All I can suggest is going in and trying out other skins.
I can go out there and see if designers have made other skins for Persona (the nodebb default), but that's the best I can offer.
-
Is there one wherein the text and the quotes are the same size (larger)?
-
What's that vote column and is there a way to turn it off?
-
@cobaltasaurus That's weird, Super Hero for me is a steel blueish gray background with white text, not hard to read at all...
-
@lithium As far as I can tell— the way I perceive colors is vastly different from other people. (This is why I am /constantly/ having other people check my colors on Arx). Gray / blue / steel can and DO look like the same color to me at times.
I straight up cannot tell the difference between navy and black. Unless it’s a LIGHT navy.
-
@cobaltasaurus And on my part, my nearly lack of taste is the reason I'll never bother figuring out which theme 'looks better' as kids call it these days. Auspice and Gany can mess around with that crap.
-
@cobaltasaurus I have the same problem re-blue and black, and a few other colors. I am kinda guessing at the actual color for Super Hero, but it's dark enough that the white text pops for me without being to sharp.
-
@lithium super hero looks okay ish on my phone— the orange is ok but all the internal links that aren’t orange are difficult to read. I recall it being f worse kn my computer. Also I’m seeing decreased phone typing for some reason— autocorrect not working as well.
-
@cobaltasaurus Ahh I never tried this site with my phone, the orange takes some getting used to but I can imagine it being not so phone helpful.
-
@lithium People who play/MSB from their phones are either superpowered mutants or masochists or something, but I can't even fathom doing that.
-
@arkandel In a nutshell, this is why I hate not having a laptop. I suck at texting, let alone dealing with this dodgy interface from the phone while off to wherever for a while.
(The question of my masochism was answered so long ago even Moses would consider it part of the ancient historical record.)

I'm back on Cyborg now and the skin bug seems fixed, but now the icons at the top of the page by the site title are more scrunched together so there's overlap where you see how many unread new posts there are.
I'm also noticing that after I finish reading a post and I go back to the unread section, it hasn't disappeared even when there have been no new posts to it.
-
Spacing on the icons up top is now good again. I see we can mark topics read again as well.

The drop down menu has switched from right side convenient thumb spot to heretical left side thumb evil spot of heresy.
So fire. Much death. Wow!
... no other fires visible yet. WILL SEE.
There's actually an option in your user settings to switch these on mobile.

I tried it right after I posted and nothing happened. Will wait a bit and try again.
