This morning my kid asked if we could put the LEGO Batman and The Tick cartoon series into our PS4 so it could "make" a LEGO Tick movie, and I was blown away by how awesome it would be if it worked like that. Can you even imagine???

Personally, I'd go with the original Avengers and a disc from the Friends TV series, just to see them desperately scrambling to survive the Chitauri invasion.

Picture it: a bleeding Rachel cradling Ross's body on a burning, rubble-strewn street as aliens zip by overhead, screaming to the sky "NO ONE TOLD US LIFE WAS GOING TO BE THIS WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY"

      How about you, READY GO

Fat Eddie Murphy develops a serum that turns him into a suave, sophisticated hitman in The Nutty Professional.

Woo. We found the comedy mine.

Interestingly enough, I think A Walk Among The Tombstones was actually a mashup of Taken and The Odd Couple. Except you know...the Odd Couple kidnaps and murders women.

American History X except Edward Norton isn't playing his reformed ex-Neo Nazi character--he's playing an on-the-edge, very stressed out Bruce Banner.

I actually do have a really neat one with literature which involved Kell and Lila, the protagonists from the Shades of Magic trilogy by V.E. Schwab, skipping realities into the Anno Dracula alternate timeline (wherein Dracula won at the end of the events in Dracula and vampires cam "out of the closet" and run amok England with the Count ruling as Prince Consort).

I've repeatedly pitched the same sitcom idea to my roommate. She refuses to fly to Hollywood and get it made.

It will star Danny DeVito as Frank Reynolds, Kevin Spacey as Frank Underwood, and William H. Macy as Frank Gallagher.

The three main characters will live in an apartment in the bad part of town and plot various ways to get ahead in life.

                      I call this show...

                      Let's Be Frank.

Did anyone else enjoy the Supernatural/Scooby Doo mashup? That was...I really enjoyed it.

OKay so Perfect Strangers meets Boon Dock Saints. Balki Bartokomous moves in with his cousin Larry, tragedy happens, and then all hell breaks loose Mypos style.

                              I did. It was hilarity.

I watched Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald last night. It was very, very good! Jude Law is the best Dumbledore so far, period, and given how good Johnny Depp was too I can't wait to see these guys share a screen.

But damn it didn't try to coddle the audience at all. It was fan service all the way, with regular infobombs and revelations for Potterheads that I struggled with as my own interest about that universe isn't too deep. I can't imagine what it's like to watch it as a muggle.

Also the effects were a little overdone, IMHO. Sometimes I couldn't tell wtf was happening and who was doing what in the middle of all the magical explosions and shit.

I liked The Harry Potter series without touching the books.

I should be able to like the Fantastic Beasts series without hours of expository information.

@arkandel What was good was very, very good, and what was bad was problematic. At least, for me.

                                    ***=Spoilers!***

Nagini seemed completely unnecessary, but I'm hoping that she will have a more significant presence in the next film, because in this one, circumstances would have been no different if she hadn't been there.

Queenie's face-heel turn made no sense whatsoever. She's been living in one of the most highly populated cities in the world all her life, and suddenly she's lost control of her powers? And mind-controlling Jacob? Wtf? And somehow glossing over the fact that she knows Grindelwald promotes a pureblood agenda, and yet somehow glosses over his calls for supremacy. Queenie's gone completely unhinged, and it's gross and sad.

And of course, a beautifully complex character like Leta is both fridged and has to be come an object serving as the motivation for the male heroes in the story which just...yeah, ugh.

Despite my bitchery though, I would watch again, but I'm prepared to grit my teeth over some parts of it.

I didn't really feel like Depp was any good. Honestly, it just felt like he stood there and stared into the empty nothing for any take that he didn't have lines in, and then just delivered his lines like... well... like Johnny Depp. I mean, sure, he wasn't Jack Sparrow-ing the role, but it was still destructively underwhelming. But then, that's kind of JD's signature. I did like Jude Law, though.

Tangentially related to the original post, as it is kind of a Mashup (and could work hilariously as a mu concept... somehow)... There is a game I like to play sometimes. Where... say... Sean Connery is a young British Spy who went to America and lived as a Historian for a bit, before going to Russia and becoming a Submarine Captain.

... this game is incredibly hard to play with Sean Bean.
